Having An Issue With 2.1 - Come In Here

I lost my haptic feedback when texting with Handcent.

Works for everything else but not texting...

Pretty awkward texting without that little vibration.

Try doing a battery pull. If that doesn't work then try a factory data reset (soft).

landscape works on my updated droid. seems like there are a lot of inconsistencies out there.

Lots of inconsistencies due to lots of different additional apps that various users have installed and different combinations of settings.

This is understandable. The apps are basically made to work on a particular OS. Some may not be compatible with 2.1.

Yeah which is the main problem with Android. This is exactly why big name developers don't want to touch the Android.

Did OTA update this am and it completed successfully. When I slid to unlock I received the message "the application Launcher(process com.android.launcher2) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again. When I force close it keeps coming back to the same message. Unable to do anything with phone. Pulled battery samo samo. Anyone solved this. Thanks

I had the same issue, I unplugged the sd card, reboot into recovery ( Hold power + X, once you see the exclamation point, hold volume up and camera button.) then did a wipe amd factory reset. rebooted. powered up and went through the initial setup. Powered off and plugged the sd card back in. This way you get to use your phone and not lose your data. You do have to download you apps again though. Which sucks but they download fast so its not too bad.

Every platform has these issues. Microsoft, Blackberry, Mac.

Has anyone noticed their emulator Nesoid running choppy after the update? I played a ton before the update and know it was not like this but afterwards it is quite slow. I even did a factory reset to see if that would help but to no avail.

Ok so before the update i had problems with yahoo mail working on my phone i got it set up on my phone but it doesn't notify of new emails. The only way i know when i get new emails is when i go into my yahoo account and look and if i pull the battery out and plug it back in then it says i got like 20 new emails what i herd was the droid has problems with yahoo and that it is a hit or a miss. So when i herd that 2.1 was going to support yahoo mail i thought this issue will be fixed apparently not. So i updates to 2.1 this morning i backed up all my apps using astro file manager then i did a factory reset on the phone and downloaded the update i had the update for a good 8 hours and like i had my gf email me and it doesnt notify me of the email she sent i have it check my email every 5 min so i waited bout 15 min and it never notified me so i went into email and therw it was. Can anyone help me out with this or knows anything of this? I might sound like a noob but i herd that this update has pinch to zoom what is that? And how do i know i have that i cant seem to figure that out, also what is text to speech. If anyone can help me i would appreciate it thanks

2.1 issue

I like the update so far.. with one exception.. seems my games are very choppy now as though the frame rates have slowed significantly.. I have nesoid with a few roms loaded and under 2.0 they ran perfectly, now they are so choppy they are not even worth playing.. any one else having this issue and know of a fix?

so i still get

-- Install from sdcard...
Finding update package...
Opening update package...
Verifying update package...
E:failed to verify whole-file...
E:signature verification failed...
Installation aborted.

i used the same file on my wifes phone and it updated in 3 min.

I had rooted my phone but have put it back to stock with RSD

Now what can i do? tried 5 different downloads and even have a known working file, i have factory reset the phone 3 times. offer any ideas you can think of but none the basic newbie ones, i have done them all i think
