Having An Issue With 2.1 - Come In Here

Yeah I had that problem with Live Wallpapers. Turned them off and went back to basic wallpaper and some of my lag issues resolved. I don't think live wallpapers is all that, with my phone it seem to create more problems than it is worth. Just my opinion.
I've been running the neural one since this morning (for testing)and have yet to have a problem.

Some run better than others. It's the nature of the beast : )

Running the one that looks like a pool of water with leaves in it. No lag at all.

Download the 'starfield' one from the Market. Definitely is my favorite.

Count me in as another person where live wallpapers slow down my Droid (and yes, I have reset/battery pulled, all is working normally). I did the manual 2.1 update today. Some live wallpapers slow it down more than others (the leaves in the water and grass waving in the wind seems to be the least cpu intensive ones) but there is definitely a noticeable lag. You can really notice it when you do the unlock pattern and in the smoothness of the animations when switching/loading apps.

I have left live wallpaper on for now but disabled animations.

Ditto!!!!!!!!

I dont know if it is just me or I am looking too much into it. But I have full bars and when I make a call they drop down to 2. Like I said I dont know if it happened before I just happened to notice it. Maybe it is not a big deal, I could just be trippin out. But it shouldn't do that, should it.

How does anyone notice things like this? It doesn't make a difference if you have 5 bars or 2 bars, they are going to vary from time to time. This isn't unusual, really.

Please help !!! !!!

I did the forced update to 2.1 However, I don't know if this is what some of you are experiencing. I still three screens like before, don't know that's normal. Another weird this is Market can't open, i open it, it closes itself in a second. No matter how many times I try, it does the same thing all the time. Is that normal or there is a way to fix it.. HELP PLEASE .....

Okay did battery pull like CK suggested and let the phone power back up. I am still having a lot of lag issues with any of my apps. Screen seems to do a 3-4 second lag to black before the app opens.

Whats best to do now is list ALL your installed apps and what live wall you are running.

Apps I am currently working with:

Open Home
Beautiful Widgets
Handsent
Weather Widgets
Weatherbug Elite
Lookout mobile security
Gloss Icons

I have many other apps, font packs and themes downloaded but am not actively using them at this point. I do not have a task killer.

I just dumped most of the games I had on the phone (mainly because I do not use them) and did a battery pull. The lag seems a bit better but the screen still goes to black for about 2 seconds before opening my apps. (mostly noticed on Handsent since I am texting this morning )

OH and no live wall running at this time.

Three screens are normal. Try a 30 second battery pull with the Market issue. If that doesn't work get back to us.

The Live Wallpaper seems to be doing something strange to my home screens - three times now I've used the unlock screen only to find most of the shortcuts and widgets missing. One or two will still be there but everything else is invisible. Rebooting fixes it but it just happens again shortly after. Changed off of Live Wallpaper to a static one and it hasn't happened again since.

Yes, mine has done the same thing. When I unlocked the whole page was blank until i swiped and then swiped back everything was there. Also the live walls appear to slow down the UI a tad. One time an app forced closed and the live wall changed to the last static one I had. :icon_eek: so it's a bit buggy hopefully the kinks will be smoothed out but overall very happy w/ the new gallery, & pinch zoom.

I'm not surprised that the live WPs slow down the system just surprised by how much. Went to a static one and whoa what a difference. All the more reason to overclock that sucka

I thought with this 2.1 Update we would have a new luncher?
I still have the same one?
Any idea why i do

Apparently that was a false rumor. Our home screens remain the same, 3 home screens. No new launcher. No new 3D interface. No new app drawers.

uninstall Open Home then restart the device.

I do know a while back a few people complained about Lookout Security but go with Open Home first.
