Holy Finishing Touches Batman, it's Sapphire 1.0

Switching the phone apk will give you a couple of FC dialogs, but it should install fine. I installed it last night without error.

Ill be slappin together a lwp pack for this rom tonight :) just a lil project to keep me from going insane, all modified stock lwp hopefully

Anyone having issues with battery temp monitoring in this release and the included kernel? Mine is stuck at 33C and never changes. CPU temp monitor is working fine.

For those having problems with the switchapk to cytown, are you making sure to su before you run it? And yes, the existing phone apk has to force close for it to get replaced. That's normal.

WOW!! Amazing ROM!!!

I'm still getting ads though..is there no built in ad-blocker?

If there is, how do I enable it?

Many thanks to the Sapphire dev team, its awesome!dancedroid

Go into terminal emulator (in dev tools) and type the following:
su

adblock on

And there you have it

*EDIT* Ignore this...it all works fine.

Yes. Here's what I've tried:

Open terminal emulator.
su
switchapk phone cytown
*wait*
*phone throws a force-close, reception disappears for a second, then comes back*
exit
go to home screen
Phone app is unchanged.

Reboot phone, open terminal emulator.
su
switchapk phone cytown
*wait*
*phone throws a force-close, reception disappears for a second, then comes back*
switchapk phone cytown
*wait*
*no force-closes, reception disappears for a second, then comes back*
exit
go to home screen
Phone app is unchanged.

I've also tried switching to stock then to cytown in the same session, but that didn't work either.

In addition, I've tried putting the phone in airplane mode...not surprisingly, that doesn't work since the phone can not download the cytown phone apk :o

After using it for the night last night and this morning, I'm very, VERY happy with this ROM. It's been running very smoothly. I also really like the Gem settings. I was very excited to see that I could lower the minimum auto-brightness to 2...and then I tossed my phone in my dock and hit the dim button...AND THE LEDs TURNED OFF WITHOUT THE NEED FOR AN EXTERNAL PROGRAM! zOMG I about wet the bed with excitement. I'm not sure if that's something new to the 2.2 code or something that Sapphire added in, but I like it.

My only problem has been getting the phone.apk to switch to cytown using switchapk, but I can always manually switch that if needed.

Excellent work on this ROM. Definitely my new default.

I am having the same issue with switchapk and cytown. Terminal is throwing an error message when I try to switch. Hhmmmm....

On a positive note this Rom kicks rear!! I just switched from Lithium and am keeping this one around for a while! Great work Gents!

I just attempted the switchapk for cytown again and went through this time. Not sure y it didn't work last night but don't care now...
:)

HMMM, actually, that WOULD work if you then went into settings and turned wifi on. (Yes, you can do that). Try it and see if that works.

Phone app is unchanged.

The "app" is the same - go into "Call Settings" in Settings and you will see a slew of alternate options if you have correctly installed cytown's mod.

*hits head on desk* Ok, looks like it went just fine then (flashing stock phone.apk back just to double check the settings differences)...but I could have sworn that one of the major differences was that you had a "call" button next to every name in contacts and favorites with this modification.

*edit* Yep, confirmed installing fine. My mistake. I was looking for a feature that I guess isn't there :o

One thing I wish for with the phone is for it to rotate. When it's in the car dock it's a real pain to work with it. Granted, I have a bluetooth speakerphone for it, but, nonetheless it'd be nice if it could rotate.
