Holy Finishing Touches Batman, it's Sapphire 1.0

First off, the rom is running great, and Incognito looks great. The only problem Ive come across is that I'm missing my music app. I reinstalled 1.0 twice, wiping both times. Any suggestions on how to fix this?

Has anyone tried enabling compcache? If so what was your experience?

I did this morning ... I use LauncherPro Plus and, so far, my redraw issue is gone! http://www.droidforums.net/forum/cvpcs/66956-1-0-launcherpro-plus.html

Just enabled it with ADW. Holy cow, screen redraws are GONE. did the acid test...playing a video on nytimes website, hit the home button. went right to the fully-drawn home screen. Done with minfreemanager now.

That's too funny!! Yeah, after I enabled CompCache I put it through some rigorous "testing" as well and was very pleased with the results!

phone is starting to get a bit heated when using it. got up to 51c on 125-1000 lv 7v . turned off internal cpu governor since i like profiles with setcpu. i was running fine on the deoxed regular port of frg01b that first got posted by p3 and cvpcs deoxed. i was running p3 kernels tho.

is it ok to run p3 kernels on sapphire? not sure why my phone is passing 45c, never did on the generic frg

Not sure about running p3 kernels with this ROM. You may want to check this out: releases:sapphire-1.0.0 [CVPCS Sapphire Wiki]

In regards to compcache, would you guys recommend turning it on? Would it make the performance better on the phone.

The speed and performance seems good right now...not sure what affect it would make to turn it on. I guess I can turn it on and try for a day and see how it is?

I'm trying it right now. Although I haven't been using my phone all that much since I turned it on. LOL! Will play with it more tonight.

need some help guys! i had my coworker running .0.9.5 for the past week or so, and he said he sometimes will be in the middle of something and all of a sudden the sapphire boot animation would start up. i just figured it was something funky with .0.9.5 or something, so today he gave me his phone so i can update to 1.0.0.

i wiped three times, then i flashed sapphire, gapps, the blackbar theme, and some samsung LWPs, in SPrecovery, and then rebooted the phone. as soon as finish the android setup and it starts to sync, the sapphire boot animation popped up, and then after about 3 seconds i was back at the lock screen.

any ideas? i've never heard of such behaviour before. it's not even doing a full restart, the M logo never comes up.

I don't know if it really matters, but I like just installing base+gapps, then rebooting to let my apps sync. Once that's done I install my theme.

Instead of installing the themes and the LWPs straight away, see if you can reproduce the problem after the install of just base+gapps.

will try that right now. i was thinking maybe his phone doesn't like the stock kernel? but i'm not sure what the symptoms of that would be, if they are the same. also, i know he purchased one of those "replica" batteries on amazon a few months back, the $14 ones, and he might be using it right now, i can't tell for sure.

Oh CRAP. Welcome to my living hell! That's the same behavior I had when I initially loaded 1.0.0. My ultimate solution will not make you happy. I had to factory reset (I did it 3 times cause I was getting ugly), install sapphire 1.0.0, install gapps, reboot, actually log in using the setup util that pops up the first boot instead of bypassing it, turn on my wifi, then go to the market and let it sync. I could not fix it any other way. Once the apps started syncing, then I could restore my titanium backup, but, if I didn't, I'd get the same behavior as what you're describing. I was SERIOUSLY hoping no one else would run into this because it drove me insane for almost an hour yesterday.
