Holy Finishing Touches Batman, it's Sapphire 1.0

LOVE IT LOVE IT LOVE IT!!!!!!

Been running 1.0 all day, stock Sapphire kernal, GalaS Theme, no SetCPU and she flies!!

Still wondering though why my fonts are stock and not like the GALA S screenshots... other than that, stoked!!!!!

EDIT:

There is one other thing. I've got my work exchange setup, and keeps telling me "Update Security Settings" in the notification bar. I click it, and it goes away, but returns every few hours or so. I do get e-mail, so not sure what the deal is. This never happened with my first ROM (Smoked Glass) BTW. Just looking for suggestions!

ty, i just use rootexplorer to rename the old Mms.apk to Mms.apk.bak and then copy the new mms file to /system/app. then set the permissions for the new file.

could this be done with Astro instead?
isn't there a script for godmode so that it gives it total access?

How is apps2sd activated in Sapphire? Do I need to have an ext partition, or can it work like Cyanogen's implementation?

Works like stock Froyo. If the app developer makes available to move then you can move the app to SD. No additional configuration needed.

Edit: another poster (credit to the poster.. I made a copy past earlier today) said the following to make available moving any app to SD (I don't know if it works, probably does):

In terminal, go to preferences then set your initial command line so it looks like this

export PATH=/data/local/bin:
$PATH
bash
su

then, go into terminal and type this, minus the quotes "pm setInstallLocation 2" , then enter. nothings going to happen, but you'll be able to move all your apps to the sd card from the manage apps. I've been using this, works like a charm.

You can use the setInstallLocation command above but that generally causes more problems. Apps with widgets won't display and apps won't appear in the app tray on 3rd party launchers without force closing the launcher. Probably easier to just wait on the app developer unless it's something you really don't use often.

I agree and leave it up to the app developer to turn on the option move to SD.

Although as far as Launcher Pro the apps will appear that have been moved to SD without the app developer turning on the option, both in the app tray and on screens no force closing required. But yes widget apps are always problematic moving to SD AFAIK.

astro doesn't have root access as far as i know. you could do it with terminal emulator or ADB though i'm sure.

just an update on my friend who has the constant restarting. that issue is definitely fixed, thanks for your help guys.

he said that the only issue he had so far today was that the phone froze up while putting it in his car dock. he had to pull the battery. he uses LWPs though, and i told him to turn them off. not sure what else would have caused something like that.

No flash player?

Also...couldn't find flash on the market ...but 2.1 apps that weren't available for 2.2 (NY times) now are. What fingerprint is this using? Sure looks like 2.2, but...

Having a similar problem. Did a complete wipe and full install. most apps appeared after about 10 minutes but no adobe flash. Cant find it on the market either. I downloaded the apk from elsewhere in these forums but it wont install! Tells me I need to update to Android 2.2!!!

Can anyone verify they have flash working with this ROM?

I have flash working. I installed it from a backup, but unfortunately I don't remember where I originally got the file. I can tell you that my version is 10.1.72.7
