Holy Finishing Touches Batman, it's Sapphire 1.0

After flashing custom themes I know longer have the custom gem stone boot when starting up my phone. It's back to the default one(which I also like lol) but idk why it switched :/

Perhaps a theme had a custom boot animation that it placed in /data/local?

Edit, sorry misunderstood. Something must have removed your custom animation, but it's easy to put back.
How would you go about doing that?

How'd you get your custom animation on there to begin with?

lol yours did not come with it?? idk mine came with the custom boot, I think it's suppose to. Anyway I'm trying out Liquid's Frozen yogurt rom now cuz I've been so ocd about what to run my phone on but I've made a complete backup of Sapphire so I haven't abandoned it.

We keep having a misunderstanding for some reason, lol.

The gem boot animation that comes with sapphire can be pulled out of the base package. I believe it is in /system/media.

I downloaded through rom manager and it booted up fine and everything but I waas missing phone.apk I tried making a call and that error popoed up saying it's not installed. I download as follow, lv 800, incognito, gapps, and the other option it shows in that section. Did I do something wrong?

Incognito is having some issues with missing apps, from what I understand. Check some of the threads in this forum, and for sapphire install I recommend doing only base+gapps first, letting your apps sync, then do alternate themes and kernels.

Edit: in fact, installing as I prescribed above should fix your problem.

^^^^ this......

Base + apps+ sync+backup+theme+backup+kernel

Sent from my Droid

Wow. I just installed tonight, and I downloaded everything at once. Theme, kernel, ROM, google apps. I then booted into clockwork and installed everything at one time. ROM first, then the others in no particular order. I haven't had any major problems yet, and I have successfully received a phone call. Guess I got lucky.

I probably don't understand -_- hehe sorry. idk I just remember installing the stuff starting it up and there she was, shining. LOL Seriously, I don't remember taking any additional steps to get a custom boot. I just used rom manager, installed the gapps or whatever it's called, the stagefright thing, and then I had the boot. Perhaps it's already within what I installed, I really have no idea...I didn't actually have to search for a separate file.

Yes, when you install sapphire, it replaces the droid eye animation with the gem.

Just flashed sapphire coming from cm6 rc2. So far, everything is great, but I am missing the gesture control of the cm6 music player. Does anyone know of a music app that allows for gestures... i.e. swipe screen to change song?

Thanks!

open up terminal and type
Code:
su
switchapk music eliotstocker

it will download the elioitstocker music app with gestures.

This is an impressive script. I've never seen one that can download an app, only replace one that is already on the sd card. I'm loving this rom.

Scriptybox in itself is amazing. Between rmapk and switchapk alone makes it a wonderful thing.
