[HOW TO] Install the leaked Android 4.0.4 ICS build on the Droid 4 (XT894)

This is my third droid4 and don't lost root. The other too d4 lost root.

That's what I'm unsure about, keeping root if you're going from 206 to 208. If you're going from stock GB you can keep root.

Well its official. Im on 208 with root. I tried going to 206 from gb 219 but it wouldnt work. So all i did is remove safestrap from my 219 gb and followed the steps on the first thread but skipped step one. I didnt have to wipe any data. The 208 update worked flawlessly. All my apps came back automatically and my phones home screens were restored to what they looked like before i updated. Awesome thats guys. And last but not least i still have root!

Im not even sure what that means? I not good at this stuff. I just downloaded the update from a link here on the site. I downloaded it through my droid 4. Wifi tether is working great too with foxfi!

If you have the droid4 utility its on the first page of the thread you can dl theres a option on it to pull the system from the phone,

Yes i'm on 208 leak with root, dropbox upload is taking ages for the system dump to upload

You should make a backup with safestrap if you havent already , i ran into a md5 error when i tried restoring (messing around) but if that happens do a advance restore and restore system thats what i did... fixed my problem just had to install superuser app again is all
