HTC Thunderbolt Release Date

14th or 24th either way I will be getting this phone.. I kinda wish they would be offering it in white but I can always just get a case.. Or I wonder if like BB will carry it in exclusive colors like they have done in the past. This will be my first Android, coming from a BB Storm 2..

If it comes on the 11th I have no problem saying I was wrong. But I still think it'll be the 24th. If its the 11th, expect BoGos within the month. iPhone launch will take so many sales away from anything... I just don't think Verizon would be that stupid.

So... some time in Feb (2/14 - 2/24).

I think the real questions are the data and when (if) BOGOF starts.

(1) Will you be forced to pay for LTE when you live in a non-covered area? OR Can you go with a 3G only plan (and kick up to LTE when you are covered)?
Seems this is bad business practice, and could be grounds for some class-action lawsuits, BUT it is a mobile phone and they could just take the position that you could always head to an area of coverage. I don't they will complicate pricing plans any more than they are. My guess is one price for data - regardless of 3G/LTE.

(2) Will data be capped or unlim? OR Will there be some sort of combination?
I would guess combo. Not sure this matters to 90% of the users out there. Something like a 5GB cap for LTE seems reasonable - and an awful lot unless you are doing video all the time. I think they stay at unlim on 3G, at least until they see how the iPhone plays out.

(3) What will the data plans cost?
I think $30/month would be a gift and wishful thiinking. Seems like a match with Sprint would make more sense - $10 add on (total of $40 with unlim on 3G and 5GB capped on LTE - with something like $5 extra for each GB over 5).

(4) When will BOGOF start?
I think this all depends on sales figures - of both the TB and the iPhone. With the Bionic supposed to be coming out late Spring... I would say BOGOF is more than a month out.
