I see that it's going to have a mobile hotspot for wireless tethering. Will there be a fee associated with that, or is it only free if you root like with the original Droid?

I would not expect it to behave any differently than you have seen with other devices.

It will likely require the Mobile Hotspot Plan which is I think $20/mo. But I'm sure once this think is rooted there will be plenty of ways to Wifi teather for free.

I guess $20/mo is doable until someone figures out how to root it. I would love to be able to use my rooted Nook away from wifi.

My understanding is that the device has already been rooted, so the root apps should work.

I figure if I follow the leprechaun I will find either my pot of gold or my thunderbolt.

A friend of mine is a leprechaun. He works full-time for Verizon in their public relations department. He's in charge of disseminating useful information about upcoming products in a timely manner via relevant, informative tweets and strategically placed forum posts. Anyway... He says they're definitely going to be released this Thursday.

I've got a good feeling about this one. I'm going to hold my breath this time. If I die blue, it's on Verizon now...

Can I get your car or something?

Ill wait no need paying 40 bucks for a case just to wing it. I am sure otterbox will have a thunderbolt case soon but are like us and waiting for it to released to the public.

I wonder if the otterbox evo cases will work for the thunderbolt.

TB has a much larger kickstand than the EVO.

The evo cases have the kickstand on the case itself. I saw one on this one dudes evo otterbox case.
