The mobile hotspot will be free til may? Honestly that's not bad at all. Wonder if they threw that in as a "sorry for the wait" kinda thing. Either way it's pretty sweet. Well definitely try it out for free, and if I'm happy with it......i MIGHT pay. Or just get easy tether lol

That's the idea... you try it out for a few weeks, then realize it's going away and want to pay.
Of course, us techies will just root, but I have a feeling we're not the majority of the people who buy phones from Verizon.

I think it's part of their way for saying "sorry it took so long"...

I really don't want to root my phone just to be able to use it as a hotspot...I hope the trick for the Incredible works on this phone...no root needed.

They were considering it before, judging by some rumors I saw. It may be a "sorry for the wait" kind of thing, but I doubt it based on Verizon's general attitude about the "delays" ("It was never delayed because we never announced it").

Wirefly is cheaper, so I'd go for Wirefly regardless of when it ships.

there will not be a verizon preorder on this phone. I have spoken to several telesales reps, and local ones too. Sucks I know, but check with your local store, they might be having a midnight release. Wirefly isnt bad, as long as you know they have their own ETF in addition to big red's.
