FCC stuff doesn't relate to a device's release date, since Verizon can release this thing whenever they feel like it- which is exactly what they're doing. I can't wait till March for a phone that's already (presumably) ready to sell!
Can anyone CONFIRM it's March? Is this Black Man X guy a reliable source?
And I never thought I could hate Apple more, thinking they're too cool for CES year after year, at one point protecting songs bought from them then charging more money to unprotect them, and making the iPod Touch unsyncable with programs other than iTunes... How is it they make money again? Oh yeah they make their products simple and shiny so any Joe can use them..

Yes I'd say blackmanx is the most reliable source we have for all verizon phones.. he is a verizon smartphone engineer and tests all new and upcoming smartphones, so he knows what he's talking about

They still havent given them any word on pricing for 4g but I know 2 different offices have been told to expect the thunderbolt before the Iphone. Fingers crossed its true...

I hope you're right. I'd definitely love to compare the Thunderbolt with the iPhone, and 4G vs 3G, before using my upgrade.

I so hope this is true, I was talking with VZW customer service last night 1-11-11 and was seeing about when what is all falling into place, and they said that dont expect any of the new phones to be within a month. some of them didnt even know about the new phones IE Bionic/Thunderbolt but they could have just been playing dumb.
I was looking into upgrading my phone but wanted to wait till the new ones come out, so I had the latest and greatest, but since they dont expect them to be out soon I had to upgrade now so I just went with the DX for two years. Hopefully they come out like you said before the "I" and I can just return it and get the newest out. my FX

Tbolt releasing before Feb 10 is probably not gonna happen. After watching CES, they said the earliest that any of those 10 devices shown would be March

The only possible date I can see is the 27th of this month. That thursday isnt cramping iPhone's style, and its the week before the 3rd. I would guess a launch day announcement on the 13th or 20th at the latest. Those dates are kind of pushing it time wise though. Otherwise this just ain't gonna happen until march(st patties day)... I cant wait to ditch my iSheep!
Seeing as how they annouced the launch date of the dinc on the 15th of april, with product release on the 29th, aforementioned time frame would fit with the dincs release. That is IF it is launch before leprecaun day. Speculation is so much fun.:icon_ banana:
