I had 8 hrs and 39 mins of actual screen time tues running my phone non-stop as a test after a fdr with a fresh install of all my apps. That was an 2 hour increase of what I was averaging which was about 5-6 1/2 hrs of on screen time on Ics before the fdr. So in my experience a fdr with fresh install of all my apps gave me more battery life as well as making my phone act right.
Also that was running my phone from 100% down to 27% before I stuck it on the charger, so I still had a little more time of on-screen left to go with my brightness at 75%.
Well I did 2 fdr's. The first one I did I let my apps install back on with their settings in tact. Phone still did not achieve great battery times as it did on Gb and was laggy, so the I did another fdr with a fresh install off my apps with no backed up setting. That was the trick in my case. Fresh new everything and my phone took OFF! It is fantastic now. Just a suggestion for you and others, I found the fdr with fresh install of everything to be the key. It is a pain and it took me several hours to get my phone back to the way it was but it made a HUGE difference in how my phone acts now. I'm very pleased. Trial and error is the key. Take the time as painful as it may be and see what works best for your phone.

That was very similar to what I was getting, about 2 days before I had to stick it on the charger. I'm in an area with a strong 4g signal and after about a day or two of getting the update my battery times started to drop, so this in turn is what made me do a factory data reset on the phone. As I explained above The 2nd fdr with apps installed fresh was the answer to all my problems.
I text and make phone calls a lot, run Netflix, I use facebook a lot and play music but not streamed. If you use the FB app might I suggest going into the setting and turning off the refresh interval to an hour or in my case never. I found with all the notification settings turned off in Fb and letting my alerts go to text messages instead, the app is no longer a battery hog and settled my battery times greatly. A lot of ppl have the Fb app and complain it eats their battery and yes it does if it's searching constantly, turn everything off and let notifications go to your text messaging. Text messages don't search on your phone but FB does lol.
Well I have to admit the fdr with apps installed back fresh was the whole key to it for me. And yes trial and error on the FB app, but it made a major improvement on battery times for me shutting all services off and letting them go to text messages. Good luck with your fdr hope it goes smoothly. Just finds some snacks and waste the day away lol. You'll be glad you did.
I did two FDR. One the night I got ICS and one last night. The first one I wasnt paying attention and all my apps loaded back up normal. I read here that its better to reinstall yourself. So last night I did another one and reinstalled all my apps myself so they were fresh. Well so far still the same battery life. I will have to do a battery training or whatever tonight.
So far with today I have a total of 11 hours and 17 minutes of battery with about 30% left. My on screen time is 3 hours and 22 minutes. I have all notifications set to a hour (facebook, hotmail, but cant get gmail to do it). Got wifi turned on at home. 3g turned on at all times with LTE on/off app. Just noticed that my screen is set to automatic cause of the fdr. The screen is taking 70% of the battery. Anyway of making it lower or is it cause it was set to Auto? Also noticed just now that my screen timeout was set to 1 minute. But I have always had it on for 30 seconds before and have had the same results. Im looking for tips. I dont really need it to last 2 or more days cause I charge it every night. But it would be nice in case if I dont have a charger or forget to plug it in.
