Yes. Many people in this thread and others have received it already and weren't part of the soak.

I'm not rooted....but was, and had bootstrap recovery installed....and didn't remove it...and now am getting an error. :) Yes, I've seen it 100 times before. Fix it.

Double checked, that wasn't the issue, but Thanks for trying to help.

Um, ok. I *GUARANTEE* that's "the issue" but you're welcome to continue trying if you'd like.

Um, I know EXACTLY what needs to be done. I didn't write the HoB to have to do this **** manually. :) It takes care of fixing all these problems like bootstrap, safestrap, forever root, etc. Without having to go manually delete all the crap that it installs.

Ok so what you're telling me is I do need to use your program to delete things I cannot see with the naked eye. I appreciate your work and will give it a shot tomorrow when I get to my computer.
Thank you

Das,

This is not directed at you per se, but the mass of folks who are going to have problems. That is if anyone can read. There are going to be bucketloads of folks who are going to have broken OTA's becuse they did forever root, but "fixed"it. That SQL'd phone settings but forgot. Erased programs that they did not want. That performed any number of seemingly at the time non-critical hacks. Many of these are going to destroy the OTA install. The HOB does work to make the install/upgrade doable no matter what you did to your phone, or forgot or whatever.

For anyone with a phone that is or was rooted, I would heartily suggest using the HOB method. We need to let Sam focus on the updater script to deal with real issues as they may arise. If we burn out Sam and/or SMD we may never see the FXZ file rolled into the script.

Root does not cause the update to fail. Its only when system files are changed when it becomes an issue. I forever rooted before I took the soak and didn't have any trouble with the update. If you were able to root, you should be able to figure out how to fxz back to 905 if the update fails. Its not rocket science.
