Is anyone the tiniest bit jealous of the iPhone 4s?

There is no one here that cannot conciously say that Apple is not stellar in their builds. Apple products are still around for a reason and that reason "is not because they have a so called fan base". Without Apple we would not be where we are today from a technology standpoint. Not even remotely close.

Ever wonder why the iphone and ipod touches don't have a removable battery? Think about it

What is "no reason to pull the battery" for $500, alex?

My dads iPhone when he actually uses it last about 6hrs. That's how long my bionic lasts so I got the extended battery, now I can go all day.sorry iPhone.

IPhone battery life is second to none...maybe in your dads case its user error...

So how can you say other ppls cases are user error? See what I'm getting at? When a problem is widespread and also acknowledged by the oem and carrier, its not user error.

Anyone that can make a product that does not need "full" outage of power to reset failures in a device is WAY ahead of the curve. iOS is stellar in itself.

I am by no means a "apple fanboy". I am "just sayin" that they make a quality device that is well thought out and tremendously tested before release.

I said both. Some are user error and most are things that will be fixed with an update. And a small percentage
is defective phones. All phones will have problems till it gets to the masses and then they can see and fix the problems easier.Sent from my DROID BIONIC using DroidForums

Severely limiting the options of users and developers, and having very few hardware platforms to worry about really diminishes how "impressive" that is. The Android devs have a much harder job to do. Even so, I don't think I ever needed to pull the battery from my OG Droid until I rooted it and stated playing around with custom ROMs.
I've gotta say, I would hate to jailbreak an iPhone, start tricking it out, and then realise I can't cut the power when I need to. I'm sure it's happened to someone.

Your saying that all the problems with the bionic are user error, when moto and verizon are releasing fixes for various problems with the device? What about all the thunderbolt issues? Was that user error too?

First of all, you're using terms like "problems" and "issues" which mean nothing specific. If you want to talk about specific issues or problems, bring them up. A person could call suffering from poor battery life a "problem." Secondly, trying to draw a parallel between my comments about the Bionic and another phone I've never even owned is completely disingenuous. Spreading FUD about "widespread" problems is also pretty petty.

And yes, I'm saying that "all the problems" that this guys "friends" had are very likely due to user error. I call bullcrap on anybody who claims that after 6 phone replacements they still have some huge "issue" that requires the phone being replaced, yet millions of other people have never experienced the same issue. If the issue was pervasive and inherent in the phone's OS/setup, a majority of people would suffer from it. The chances of me being the one person on Earth who "accidentally" got a working phone is preposterous. That doesn't mean there aren't people out there with lemons, because it happens. But if you return more than 1 phone and still end up with a lemon, it's either that ALL phones are suffering from this issue...or the issue is with YOU.

Go ahead and point out all of these issues that the Bionic has that I'm so fortunate to not be experiencing. I'm waiting to hear. I can tell you right now that the only problem I had with the Bionic (poor battery life) was my own fault. And guess what? I figured it out (WidgetLocker) on my own instead of returning 5 phones to Costco.

lol, wow. The distortion reality field really covers more ground than anybody could have ever imagined.

I think its the fact that people are taking these phones back multiple times for no reason saying defective when that is just not the case. I have had most if the issues people are complaining about and I did research to find out how to handle the problems. I have fixed many of the problems I was having and the rest will have to wait for an update just like every smart phone that has ever been made. That's right, every smart phone will have issues when it first comes out and will need an update to fix it. I think it will always be that way and I'm fine with that.

So, what say you? User error? Or is there actually a problem? What's disingenuous is you saying that any issues that you are not experiencing mean no issues exist save for user error. What's disingenuous is your unwillingness to admit that a phone could possibly have issues. Like garrett said...consider yourself lucky. Yes, I guess we can all wait for updates to fix this as someone else suggested, but that doesn't somehow excuse the fact that the Bionic is buggy. After an 8 month delay.

I think it would do you well to not just make broad sweeping assumptions about the quality of a device based on your own individual experiences with it. The Bionic is not a POS, but it also isn't some flawless superphone.

The fact that your suggesting that people should fix the problems they're having with their phones themselves that they paid $300 or more for is ridiculous. No consumer should have to tolerate or research how to fix problems with things they buy. The funny thing is people would not tolerate something like this for any other product in the world that they buy. But if it's an android smartphone, "don't worry just fix it yourself or wait 3 months for a fix". Sorry, that's not how the average consumer thinks, and rightfully so.

And btw, Apple's silly "you're holding it wrong" was a DIY fix also, but that didn't fly here, did it? I remember people bashing Apple and Steve Jobs for suggesting something like that. Why is it ok to tell people to root and do all this other crap to your phone to make it perform well, but its ridiculous to tell them to hold it another way?
