is it possible to have 2 phones on one line?

Guys...you can switch the device that gets service by calling verizon and going through the steps in about 5 minutes. Do it in the morning as u get to work, switch it back to the good device when u get in your truck to go home. I do this when I go out on the boat

Yea, that would get old in about 3 days

I agree... but it is an option. Im sure u could do it quicker as you got used to it. But I don't do it very often....

two possible ways to do this

to use 1 number on both phones, you could set up a google voice number. It forwards everything to whatever phone accounts you use, and multiple phones will all show the google number as the return number

The second option (the one that I use for my d1 and dx) is to turn on call forwarding (simple call forwarding is a good cheap app to do this)

I got an x and d2 doesnt even take 5 min to switch dile *228 press1 dial your phoine# then last4 0f social your done about 1 min I do it all the time love my X but its not a work phone the d2 on the other hand works fine dont know how thunderbolt will be but d1 will be better for work

He wouldn't be using double minutes with call forwarding because he would be forwarding to another Verizon number? I'm pretty sure that's how it works anyway. It'd be double if he was forwarding to a non Verizon number.

Google Voice would be the best option IMO, thing about it is you get a new number.

no need to call verizon!!! without an app just dial #72than number to forward too. to end the service, dial #73.

The app just stores the forwarded number and dials the #72 and #73 for you.

The* 228 was what I did.... couldn't remember how I did it since its been a while. I still think this is the best option. I actually need a new second phone as my old one is an alltel phone and my d2 is a verizon phone and it doesn't work.

Yup exactly.....takes 30 seconds.

PS- As someone else pointed out and I didnt think about before...if your forwarding Verizon to Verizon, shouldnt charge double minutes.

ok call forwarding but how do u do such if both phones have the same number, im lost...

Both phones DONT have the same number.

Your first phone has your main number....when your using it, NO call forwarding.

Your second phone has a number nobody knows, when your using it....forward your main phone to it.

Hope that makes sense. Each phone has to have its own line....but you only actually use 1 number.

kinda but not really maybe i need to c it...cus my old razor has phone # 123 and my current droid has phone # 123 but my GV is #456....

but i guess only the new phone will have data/text im sure
