I am also having the weather not updating in Beautiful widgets and in the browser. Working on creating an account to file this bug, but waiting on the site. This ROM is awesome!

Mine doesnt work either

Filed a bug id #50 about certain apps not able to access the GPS. Google Maps is able to access the GPS correctly.

I have the same problem. Location based apps can't find current location.

Somehow this killed superuser for me...no su and ROM Manager and SetCPU, for example, won't run.

Is there a su.zip I can apply from clockwork recovery, or ?

how the heck did you manage that? Hows this possible?

i've been wondering the same thing... su doesn't get "overwritten". the entire system partition is formatted upon install and the su is installed clean. heck, it's taken straight from ChainsDD. how it ended up not working is a mystery to me :S

i would suggest wiping out data. perhaps there is stale data from a different version of Superuser that's making it function improperly (i.e. it can't load the whitelist, so it crashes and su doesn't work)?

Bingo!! I wiped data and re-flashed and things were OK again.

Never seen anything like this before, but glad to get it figured out!

Somewhere around posts 80-90 in this thread I posted the apk and there are instructions somewhere closer to there as well... just can't do it again cause I don't have my computer right now...

hmm... my market sync'ing isn't working even after i applied the the market sync fix. any ideas what i could try next?

Sync is broke because of the new market. You should have used a backup app like titanium or MyBackup Pro. Do you have a backup you can restore to to use an app to back them up?

fortunately, i did a full nandroid backup prior to flashing sapphire 0.70
i'll restore my prior ROM and run a backup of my apps with titanium.

so is it the sync in the new version of the market app that's broken or is it on google's side of things? nevertheless, i should be able to get my apps restore with titanium. thanks.

It's post #134 in case anyone is looking for the .apk, and there are instructions in the next few posts below that one. Thank you for putting that together, mph122074! I've had the location issues in other roms, so I'm bookmarking this for when I check out this one again.

Installing networklocation.apk from 0.6.2 worked for me as well. Location lock is extremely fast!

I have not had a problem with any app seeking location. Also, I had the same market sync issues when flashing fresh 0.7.0, resolved by flashing fresh 6.2 after a system/data/cache wipe, let apps resync, then upgraded to 7.0. ROM looks great guys! Another job well done!

Just noticed that 0.7 is missing the android keyboard with the voice input. I did go into the kb settings to verify. Did .6.2 have this, and if so, does anyone have the .apk they could post?

Got Voice Search running on 0.7.0 ...

Deleted VoiceSearch.apk in /system/app.
Copied VoiceSearch.apk from 0.6.2 package to /system/app
rebooted
ran 'fix permissions' in Rom Manager
rebooted
All OK :icon_ banana:

You might want to just try runnning 'fix permissions' first in Rom Manager. ;-)

You can also use Root Explorer to fix the permissions as well. They have to be:
user: rw
group: r
others: r

On the selected file, do a long press and select permissions. That is how I fixed my permissions.

Nope, it's not missing. If your MIC button is missing, go into Settings | Language and Keyboards, go into the Android keyboard settings, and under Voice Input you have an option for where you want the mic button to go.

You know what happened? It was not there, and it was not in the settings as an option. However, I was writing the post and my phone was rebooting to load up the .6.2 network location & voice search files. I just checked the settings, and now it's an option. Either I am hallucinating or the MIC key was linked to the voice search .apk. I'm going to hope it's the latter. :icon_eek:

I was reading here about this ROM and I was seeing people having issues and stating that it was from a clean install just to v0.7.

Some people were having issues fixed by downloading the V0.6.2 then not wiping data and loading V0.7

Would you suggest I do that since this is the first time I'm trying this ROM or just go for the V0.7??
