[ROM] [KEXEC] JB ROMS For Droid 3 [03/06: BT/SPEAKERPHONE FIX]

You know, I never even had a thought about AOKP being able to use Kexec... hmmmmm.....

If anyone could get that working I'd be extremely happy. I'm looking to upgrade in a few months, but I'm always gonna be in pursuit of great ROMs for all of my devices.

What attracts me to AOKP is the number of options that we can perform customization, but also in the rest I prefer Cyanogen because he is most stable

Just saying. ;p

The downside's of a GB kernel-based ICS/JB ROM are:

No Chrome / or any other RenderScript-based apps
GB-based PowerVR drivers make the UI quite laggy
No YouTube HD / Netflix
No camera related OS featueres like Google Goggles, Barcode readers, etc
Old wifi drivers which don't work well w/ ICS/JB
etc..

But the basic camera *does* work in the GB build.

Just sayin. Now, I am going to agree 100% that the kexec build isn't there yet. But it does have a bright future.

PS. I'll be jumping back into the kexec stuff soon.

That only applies to Droid 4, RAZR/MAXX, Bionic -- sorry Droid 3 guys more kexec work soon.

Looks like it will be alittle bit before a new build for us... :(

You are the best hash, THANK YOU.dancedroid

I would imagine once the build is up and running more stable with data that the gsm patch will bw fixed or included

So, you're telling me it is a GB based ROM? :p I don't really know anything about chrome, but I can't say I have experienced any lag, it's very smooth. I'm not sure everyone is quite concerned with Google goggles and all. My wifi functions fine though. Don't get me wrong though, I want your ROM more than my current one, I just find the camera necessary. I do enjoy the HDon Kexec, if the camera functioned I'd be all over it. I love the CM 9 and 10, you do a great job, I'm hoping you'll get it working soon. I doubt you find it necessary, but I also adore the overclocking ability, that'd be a great addition. Just continue the good work, everyone loves your work and I'm sure you do, but collaborate with Chevycam94. ;p

Not GB based, but the non-Kexec runs on the GB Kernel. With Kexec, we're allowed to flash a custom ICS Kernel to allow everything in an ICS ROM to work. When it all gets fixed and stable.

Not really sure what you're asking but that's a Samsung Infuse, not a Motorola Droid3.

I think what he was saying is that the Samsung Infuse is able to run Android 4.0 as an official update with no problems while our D3 "isn't able to run ICS because of insufficient RAM."
