Leaked FRG22 Update Available for Rooted Droid 1

I'd just like to pop a quick thanks to YankInDaSouth for helping me figure out how to get the new FRG22 Flashed to my phone!

I am running LP and using minor Overclock to 800mhz with a Quadrant ringing in at 1057.

So far no redraws etc... NEW to this stuff but I'm ENJOYING IT!!!!

TY AGAIN YankInDaSouth!!!!!

No problem ... I just offered some guidance - you did all the work

Thanks for the post. I was starting to get settled, but I knew it wouldn't last long ;). Time to backup and flash!

Now for some seriousness...hopefully these comments will be read by those it will make the most impact to.

The biggest benefit of running a custom recovery is so you can take a FULL ROM BACKUP of your existing setup and try new things, and you can always flash back to your recovery if you don't like it.

I'm sick of questions like "So I am running <insert rom here> and if I apply this will I have to wipe?, or will it mess up my theme?"

FFS just try it!!!! Then post your findings.:work3:

Sorry, for the rant, but every now and then I just gotta dance. :icon_ banana:
First, I love that you used the angry guy icon! Second, as associate chief of ranting, I say rant on!

Ok so everything seems a lot faster but my quandrant score is only 816?? (had 1500 with FRF84!) and my linpack is 12.56

Forgot to add , Gallery on 01B was slow , now with 22 is responsive , better than anything I have used to date . dancedroid

I agree the gallery is much more responsive on 22, was running BBv0.4 prior, then tried 01B and so far this has been then best "for me" as far as the redraws and the gallery. So far it runs great and absolutely now issues. Thanks

I just tried to install this. After the reboot, it goes to the flashing droid eye, and then enters an endless loop - like it reboots over and over. Not sure what's happening.

ran into the same issue but i didn't wipe and installed it using sprecovery over stock 2.1.

back up and running with this rom after a data wipe and install. my first foray into rooted roms :D

big thanks to p3 and cz!

Just finished flashing. No custom kernel yet. Programs currently syncing. Will load Chevy ULV 800 when that's done. So far so good though.

While this is totally subjective ROM is already noticeably snappier to me at default speed then FRF84B was.

Will post more after I get the phone set back up the way I want it.

Hey all - thanks for all the feedback and info on this build.

Quick question: I've been running rooted FRF84b since it was released. I still got the Verizon "Update Available" notification this morning. I upgraded to this FRG22 build a little bit ago, but I'm still getting the update notification. Is that normal? Any way to get it to go away?

Thanks!

I have simply stunning version4.5, tethering and overclocked to 1.25 mhz, why would I want to get an official froyo, nah, I am happy with my Rom, and the developer is always updating it to give us the best, something that motorola is not doing, I am not giving up my droid 1, is so amazing.

How's everyone's battery life?

With the announcement that the official OTA has been suspended, and a new build in progress that is not FRG22, I'm somewhat concerned.

Will watch my batt life after a good charge this evening.

Yea my battery is not that great either. Im using 800 mhz and in 3 hours my battery went from 100% to 70% while i was sleeping for 3 hours.

Yeah, that doesn't bode well ... I'm going to do a few things once it is charged, first a batt pull, let the OS timer tell me how long it was on, etc.
