Oh s4mt3k you amaze me with your.. brightness. Im not being negative. Liberty is an amazing rom. An like i said I would pay to use it anyday.

Let me give you a short story so you can comprehend it.

Lets say I throw a pizza party for my office. I open a donation to fund the pizza party. On the day of the pizza party I only allow the people who donated to eat the pizza. Then after they had there share everyone else can then eat.

That sir is not how a donation works..

(grabs the fire extinguisher)...this is not a semantics forum. It's truly as simple as this: you either give the devs a few bucks for their hard work, or you don't. I "donated" because I feel that the work that these folks are doing is absolutely amazing and has completely revolutionized my X for me. So far, I have used Liberty, and Liberty 1.5 and loved every minute of it, but I didn't pay one dime for it! I know that it must have taken an incredible amount of work to put those together, PLUS, if I have an issue, they work it out for me, so customer service is there as well .....it's as if I have an actual 'product' here.....so when I saw 2.0 available for 'donation' ......I didn't even blink an eye before I had 'bought' the privilege to use Liberty and support these guys because I REALLY want them to keep working on this. ........that being said........ I've been running 2.0 for my 3rd day now and I have nothing but good things to say about it! Keep up the good work!!

I second that yea I groaned and had that thing where my heart flutters and thought it had stopped. But just like you said it is worth every penny and more. It is a small price to pay for excellence. The donation that they are receiving will help in making new ROMS for us. Also think of it this way, if you went to work and did not get paid. How long would your heart and motivation stay in giving your company a hard day of work? Yea u might would stay there for a week or so but I promise you that the second time you did not get a pay check u would quit. BUT I DONT THINK THE LIBERTY TEAM WILL QUIT, THEY ARE DEDICATED, BUT PLEASE HELP IN THERE EFFORTS TO PROVIDE US WITH QUALITY ROM....... ALSO IF YOU ARE A MEMBER ON DROID FORUMS [COMMUNITY]. HINT on community you should do what a community does during problems ban together and help. Sounds like a Presidential speech. Thanks liberty team I got your front not your back I don't want y'all to get shot first. So I just got the tweet that there is a liberty settings FC patch available for download in the rom manager. Downloaded and installed. Uninstalled old TB and everything seems to still be working great!

Don't want to get flamed and not trying to be disrespectful but I think the majority of the problem is that it appears that you have to pay $5 to be a beta tester for an unfinished ROM. Again not saying that it is wrong and that the DEV's should not receive some type of donation or compensation for their work. I think some clarification may be needed as to what people are paying $5 for. Is it just for the advanced preview of Liberty 2.0 or by buying the app are you buying into all future previews of Liberty similar to that of the Team Black Hat app. Maybe jrummy could clarify this to put this whole pissing contest to an end! Just my $.02

I don't think their post should go anywhere but here. They are not complaining. They paid five bucks as I did to get the Rom Manager. Regardless of whether we are beta testing a new ROM or have a final work I feel maybe it could be explained further to those who paid or are willing to pay 5 bucks for the app.
It says in the first post that everything will be posted for everyone else unable or unwilling to pay 5 bucks for the app (my understanding).
I hope that when we paid 5 bucks for the app that we would get something more than the privilege of being a beta tester for the ROM.
Maybe it was not explained fully in the first post that what would be posted on the site would just be a download link for the ROM and a link for the Liberty Toolbox without the ROM Manager option. It seems there should be some type of extra for those who paid other than the privilege of being a Pre-Release Beta ROM Tester.
Regardless, I am happy with the ROM and have had no problems with it other than the FC on Liberty Settings, which is fixed from what understand.

Oh I see. Create a "*****ing and Moaning " thread where our voices don't matter?? It is a very simple thing, and very reasonable thing to have a little clarification as to how people are spending their money. This will be my last post on this because AGAIN I don't want to make a big deal out of this. I think a simple explanation/clarification is in order just to help people understand what they are getting.

If this was not directed at me I apologize, but last I knew this was a free website (and Country) where people can comment and discuss things! Telling people to "shut up" is a little excessive unless you happen to have one of those special "Moderator Badges". By the way I bought the app and I'm not complaining. I am simply stating that to clear up some of the confusion that people have just clarify exactly what you a paying for. If its just strictly a donation and you get an advanced preview that's cool. If it is a donation and you are getting additional features and previews of up coming releases that's great to ( Like I said before similar to the Team Black Hat App). Before this gets out of hand we should probably just leave it as it is. Thanks
