Liberty ROM - v. 2.0

If this was not directed at me I apologize, but last I knew this was a free website (and Country) where people can comment and discuss things! Telling people to "shut up" is a little excessive unless you happen to have one of those special "Moderator Badges". By the way I bought the app and I'm not complaining. I am simply stating that to clear up some of the confusion that people have just clarify exactly what you a paying for. If its just strictly a donation and you get an advanced preview that's cool. If it is a donation and you are getting additional features and previews of up coming releases that's great to ( Like I said before similar to the Team Black Hat App). Before this gets out of hand we should probably just leave it as it is. Thanks

I have been holding off donating, as I have already donated to kejar's paypal in January to LibertyROM. Once things are a little more stable, I might toss $5 their way, but agree with you on an early release of the ROM is where the $5 goes, especially when this ROM will be free in near future.

Of course, I'd still spend $5 on when things are more stable, regardless of the ROM being free then, which is what I plan on doing.

In order to get this ROM now, is a donation in January to kejar sufficient for downloading or did it have to be to jrum via market only? I saw that I could PM jrummy and inform him of donation already, but am not clear on donation to whom since he was on the team at that point.

I donated last night for a couple reasons, 1 to support development and 2 I dug 1.5 and wondered if 2.0 could pull me from RubiX Focused. Definitely built on 1.5 in the toolbox, and I suspect also behind the curtains. Feels smoother. Waiting to see but I'll bet better battery performance also. Great job Liberty team!

So I just got the tweet that there is a liberty settings FC patch available for download in the rom manager. Downloaded and installed. Uninstalled old TB and everything seems to still be working great!

... I was looking for a tweet about a patch and not finding anything. I just downloaded and installed late last night so, might be in the build already.

I finally got Liberty 2.0 to download and work. I never really found out what the issue was exactly, but it works now.

But now there is another issue. I download the system add-ons, but they do not install. They seem to be downlaoding as non-zip folders, so therefore I can't install them from the bootloader. Has anyone had this issue or knows a way to solve this? Thanks!

I think people are getting a little confused.

For everyone who donated why are you guys asking what you get in return for your donation? A donation is basically a thank you note, it is NOT a "i donated give me something" type of deal..

Back to what Im trying to get across is, what they are doing is not asking for a donation but a pre-release charge. Why cant people who donated in the past use 2.0? So lets say i donate 2$ because i love there work (A real donation) but to use 2.0 it costs 5$.

Im not being impatient i honestly dont care about when 2.0 gets released for free. Im just trying to justify the meaning of DONATION...

We should be over this by now... anyone have something to say about their 2.0? I have been running on battery ever since 10 o'clock... I have been listening to podcasts through bluetooth headphones... texting, and frequenting the droid forums... it is now 3:20 and I am showing 50 percent battery life.... by now I should have already plugged it in... I'm impressed!!

That is the point

I love it so far, not a single FC so far. The liberty setting patch is in the toolbox.. that fixes the liberty settings FC issue...

I've been running gNav, pandora, 100%screen brightness, 30 min screen timeout and wireless tether for about 2 hours now trying to kill battery to wipe stats after a Powered off recharge. I'm still at 40% I'm impressed. Tried stock, rooted deodexed GB hated it.. once Liberty goes GB I'll go to GB.

This is an early release which could have some bugs. The final release will appear shortly for all. If you decide to donate please report bugs so we can have the best ROM for dx/d2.

Very cool way to do this. Paid version for beta participants. Free and clear once testing and debugging has been completed. My hat's off to you guys.

I will buy the paid tool box and load V 2.0 once it's completed. I'm sure many appreciate the chance to try it early. My hat's off to all at Team Liberty for the work they've put in and allowing the public to help with the testing. Bravo guys.

Ok one last thing. Which of the checkboxes at the bottom of the settings should I have checked for the best performance?

With all the hostility going on I'd be surprised if anyone continued to work on this at all these guys aren't paid for what they do I think its a hobby for them and they love doing it if people are gonna cry about spending $5 then maybe you should have just waited till it was released to the public these guys are doing us a favor if you don't like it learn how to do it yourself or shut up

this is a free website and you are free to voice your opinion as i did sounded clear enough to me with what they said originally if you want an early release then spend $5 as a donation i think they also made it clear it would be released to the public sooner or later this was done as a release to test some bugs maybe im the only one that understood this sorry for any misunderstanding just read a few comments and it seemed like more people were complaining than thanking

Check to be sure the app you have installed currently is not newer than the themed one. If that's the case you might need to uninstall your app and then try the themed one.
