What is your computer setup? I tried it on my old laptop and it failed but when I did it on my friends newer pc it worked great. Maybe the file is OK but try it on another computer

Sounds good....my girlfriend she be home in the next 30 mins with her laptop so i can give that a go.

Just curious, if it's stock recovery?? How am i still getting a liberty boot image anyway?? When I get it fixed and try to reinstall liberty...besides backup won't can i do differently??

Droid X SBF

ldopa beat me to the punch ;-)

Try another PC and start over with downloading files and drivers. Also, maybe a different USB cable if you have one. Check the link above - thats where I dloaded the SBF file I used.

Under the assumption you get the SBF to work, you will need to re-root your DX and get Liberty toolbox. The SBF will bring your Droid back to stock (out of the box) condition (not liberty).

Yea same place i downloaded mine, but i'll just delete all of stuff i need off computer and start from scratch...and def. thanks for trying to help me guys!!

Thanks for helping me out earlier guys, i switched to my gf's computer and it worked first time. Just re-rooted it and about to give liberty a shot again!

Edit: Also after i flashed sbf, everything went back stock...but my boot animation is liberty...?

Weird. I know the boot logo can be tenacious. That's great. I'm glad it all got sorted for you. Trying on a different pc is what worked for me so I'm happy it did for you too. SBF can be finniky (spelling?), but once you find a way that works you should be golden.

The boot animation will revert to stock if you wipe data. Or use root explorer and go to /data/local and delete the bootanimation.zip file.

Yeah, I thought you meant the boot logo (misread) not the animation. The above post def will take of that. You can replace it with any bootanimation.zip

Not a stupid question at all. I have the same issue. I can't get facebook black either. For Gmail or linear black facebook you need to uninstall the app on your phone then download and install the themed app. It will install then. As for the black facebook I still haven't got that to work
