For the browser being laggy... I think it has something to do with the way 2.0.1 renders pictures. Before update, when you scrolled, the pics would revert to a sliiiightly lower quality (without antialiasing) until the screen stopped moving, at which point the picture would go back to the antialiased version. In the new version, it keeps the antialiasing on during the scroll which would require more processing power... just what I've noticed. Oh, and it's not just the browser... it's everything using html... emails, facebook, etc...

Google is getting flooded on thier beta forums bout it. Its going to get fixed fast just to kill the spam.

Far as we can tell the ota and the manual are exactly the same. The manual came directly from the google server, including the update you dled and installed, you dled it right from the google server. Unless they change it from when they did the initial release of 10000, its exactly the same, and if they did change it, yours wouldnt match up and you would be prompted to update.

it's probably the certificate problem. I tried dl'ing it again and had to go through the certificate exemption again, but then it started downloading

There is only 1 version. There are two methods of install. Manual or OTA. Either way it's the same exact version.

The update worked, however I'm experiencing a few problems. I have duplicate entries of Camera, Car Home, and Market in my apps menu. Also, the Facebook app is different (not sure if this is an issue, seems to be better than the old one).

Don't really have time to check everything else out before I leave for work, but those are my main concerns.

If I can't fix these problems on this manual update, is there any way to revert back to 2.0 and wait for the OTA?

I updated my Droid yesterday.....It still says it can't sync with facebook.....anyone else with that problem? Please let me know.
