[ROM] Maverick ROM v3.5 for Droid 3

Each theme (and the 3.5 base) should have "Maverick" on the lockscreen. That is, unless you install the Verizon Banner via Toolbox.

If you still had Vodaphone at some point, something didnt take when you flashed because with the new system files, the banner on the lockscreen is pulled from the eri xml, not a png.

Ok. Thank you. :)
I thought there is a way to leave the banner untouched, and show the real network provider. :)

Guys,
Based on latest OTA, what is the latest radio available for D3? Just want to make sure I have latest radio too before I decide to upgrade to MavROM 3.5.
System Version: 5.7.906.XT862.Verizon.en.US
Android Version: 2.3.4
Baseband Version: N_03.18.32P
Kernel Version:

Build Number: 5.5.1_84_D3G-66_M2-10

Thanks Bogdan, Is there a straight forward way to install the 906 OTA to update radio and keep root so that safestrap recovery can be installed. Is the process same as I keeping permanent root before installing 902.

Any reviews on connectivity and battery performance of the new baseband radio?

I haven't had the chance to do it myself yet but i will soon. I'm not sure if permaroot will work. But if it doesn't, use the Droid 4 root utility to re-root and install safestrap.

I dont have yet the 906 update installed, but i have the 905. I installed it using the instructions from buckmarble from page 16 at mavrom v 2.5 topic and droid 4 rooting utility and now i am searching for a way to update to 906...but i dont know how...from 905 to 906. (How can i return to stock-905 from mavrom 3.5. Installed with cwm recovery)...

Do you have Safestrap installed or regular bootstrap? If you have safestrap, do it the same way you updated to 905. Make sure the update is on you EXTERNAL SD card, return to non-safe, boot into stock recovery (power+m, volume down to recovery and up to enter into it), then wipe data and cache. Apply update from sd and then select the update. After its done, reboot and use the droid 4 root utility. Then install safestrap and boot back into safe-mode. It should restore all your mavrom data from when you switched before.

Ok but why would the older method not work with the new 3.5? Shouldn't it be the same?
Can't I just copy the apks to system? Tell me how to do it i'll do it myself. And will you update DJMod to work with 3.5?
Sorry if I sound rude, but could you guys please respond so I don't have to spam the topic asking each question 2-3 times.. I'd like to keep using mavrom also in the future even if I have to do some stuff myself to keep stuff working

I can't seem to find your question...

To those who need instructions on installing, and do not care as long as it works:

Someone has probably a better way but I was able to upgrade to 906. I had to wipe both roms, basically in the process.

1. Put the 906 update on the root of your SD card.
2. Turn off phone.
3. Boot in Safestrap. Toggle safestrap off.
4. Reboot
5. Pull battery or shut phone down again
6. While turning on phone hold down X until you see a triangle with an ! and a droid dude.
7. Press both the up and down volume buttons at the same time until you get to the bootloader menu.
8. Wipe phone.
9. Install update from SD card.
10. Choose 906
11. Reboot.
12. Wait awhile.
13. Use Droid 4 root exploit to get root
14. Re-install safestrap.
15. Done!
(You maybe able to restore an old Rom you have backed up on safestrap. I am not going to try it)

If you absolutely need the rom, I can PM a copy I have backed up. The issue is that 1. To respect the developer I will not provide the link unless his server is down. 2. I have to use rapidshare due to Dropbox saying it's too large. If you are OK with that. Then PM or email me at

His full question is to have universal inbox back and how to integrate DJMod in this ROM.

Is there a v3.5 Mirror? I keep getting 404 Error's when I try and download it with both my phone and laptop for the past few days.
