Maxx HD battery stats

Jello all..

After JB update, RAZR Mass HD got a small update that negatively effected some phone's
battery life...according to phone serial numbers. I found out because I went from 32 hours
per charge to 15!

Verizon is sending a replacement.

Same here. My RAZR Maxx HD now drains the battery 3-5% per hour just sitting asleep in my pocket!

I didn't get a second update, but I did wipe the phone Friday. Battery life Saturday wasn't the best because the phone wasn't fully done synching everything. And yesterday I drove all over Washington in and out of service. But the battery life seems better. Today will be tough to tell as well because I am flying. So tomorrow I will see for sure if it helped my phone.

Did a Factory Reset last night, then let the battery drain until the phone shut off. Let it charge all night to 100%. All indicators are so far is that it did not help at all. Battery still draining like a banshee.

You should avoid allowing the battery to drain below 5-10%, and especially avoid allowing it to power off on is own by draining completely.

The proper way to reason the meter is to potter the phone off normally, charge to 100% with power off, use normally until the "Low battery" warning at 15%, and power off and charge to 100%.

If your phone is using power excessively, we need to identify what it is that sucking down all this power. Next time you reach near empty, go to settings and go to battery and take a look at the items that are using power and do a screenshot for us. We should see something like the 2 images below.

Why are there times when my phone says its awake but the screen is not on?

This is from today, I'm traveling and in a fringe area so my battery is only getting me through the day

A few points if I may:

On your screen shots, it would help if you clicked on SCREEN for details of SCREEN
TIME ON. This tells more than simply viewing phone on and SCREEN % window.
I have been told by Motorola, and THREE Verizon Level 2 support people, as well
as a very sharp manager, that I could run the battery down to 5-10%, and never
to run down totally.

Here is my battery life status. This started at 7pm with a full charge. I do have a night time smart action that shuts off the screen, volume, wifi and data between 1am-7am. I also have a ton of built in apps disabled that I will post pics of. This is with moderate to heavy use at times.

Maybe this will help others to get longer battery life by disabling apps that you don't use or need

I recently went over 30 hours on a charge and it was at %15 battery leftover. That's normal screen use , texting , playing music , phone calls.

I see on average 30 hours. I still wish I had a battery to swap out like my Droid x but this last long enough. Just always liked having that extra battery in my pocket and didn't have to worry about charging my phone.

I agree about the removable battery issue. Cattledog, how many hours of screen time
were you using when you got over 30 hours?
Do you shut off mobile during the day when you are not using email, etc.?
Thanks

Is 13% battery used with 1.5 hours of screen time about right? Total time is misleading because
nothing is being used. Either the screen or the phone uses the most power.

Thanks

Now down to 17% battery with 5 hrs, 19 min screen time. Never use full brightness.
Doing FDR. will see if that helps and report.
