Settings> About phone (it does say phone, doesn't it?) and check out the Android version, build number, kernel version, and mod version if you have one of those.

Hey furbearingmammal (that's a mouthful - what do your friends call you?), did you root the M-150, and if so, what process did you use. There appear to be several different ones mentioned over on the XDA site, and I'm expecting my tablet to arrive in the next week, so I wanted to know.
If you're interested you can hack on it, root it, and install ROMs and unofficial firmware. This may increase your satisfaction with this device. However, doing so will VERY MUCH void your warranty.
A warranty on a $100.00 tablet is not really that valuable. It's a good point to bring up though. For a lot of us however, as soon as we get the things out of the boxes, we're going to do some hacking and rooting.
