MetaMorph themes for swype

i would say its in the res/values/color.xml, in that file i see this

</resources>

whithin what file or folder? I'm not seeing that in the apk or in the file system anywhere

Ok, sorry if this has been covered but I've skimmed though most of the pages and it seems that almost everyone doing this has a Droid 1. Does the pink theme work for a Droid X with 2.2? Yes, I'm rooted. Thanks in advance!

yes,i beleive they all work on the droidx

I'm gonna say this: since the Droid 1, Droid 2, and Droid X are all WVGA (854x480) devices, it should, the only way to know is to try it.

Ok, here goes nothing then! I'll report back to let y'all know if it worked or not. I already copied my original swype.apk over to the SD card and now I have no Swype. Is that normal? I didn't move it, only copied it.

yeah,when you reboot phone like the OP says to,your swype will be back

I rebooted already and no Swype. I haven't put any of these files on my phone yet. I'm referring to my preloaded Swype. I just copied it over to the SD Card so I would have a backup, then rebooted and no Swype option.

check to see if its still in your /system/app

Mine was actually already located in system/app. There is nothing referring to swype in data/app. I just made a copy of it and put it on my SD Card as a backup just in case I wanted to get back the original stock Swype.

oh, you have to decompile it with apk manager.


side not i have officially changed the swype tracer trail color but can only do it to the leaked hacked version. i cant get MM to apply it.have to decompile the hacked version one and make the changes and recompile it. install and tracer color is different

oh yeah,thats correct the droid x comes preloaded with swype

It's still there...I just clicked on it and hit the install button and stock swype is back. Don't quite know what happened. Ok, I think I'll continue trying to download your pink theme. Should I try MM or do it w the computer?
