I downloaded the file, i see it both in astro and rom mgr tried to install from sd card didi not work- tried boot in recovery did not work- having trouble obviously.....new to droid, i have a rooted droid X with z4,,,heeeeeeelp

Is the keyboard update zip saved to the root of the SDcard?

Try to install again with the instructions posted above

Im now in reboot recovery with Apply sd card:update,zip...whats next

Reboot into Recovery mode

Select install from zip

Navigate to SDCard and select the keyboard update zip

Click Yes for install

You have to be on 2.2 for this to work. Are you?

If you are on the ClockworkMod Recovery home page you should see "install zip from sd card". Select that, then select "choose zip from sdcard" then hit up volume key to scroll to the bottom of the list (that's a shortcut) and select the keyboard update zip. Does not matter what its called. Then select "Yes -Install update whateveritscalled.zip

up and down volume keys for navigating up and down

maybe im not in the right place what exactly is clockworkMod Recovery ? is that an app or is it in Rom Mgr. Im so lost...need step by step instructions...sorry for the hassle

From ROM Manager select Reboot into Recovery. Then it will become clearer. You should see a black background with green text if you are in ClockWork Recovery mode.

I did that and the exclamation and droid came up briefly them it went to full rebooting..should i have done anything prior to that? now im back to full phone OPs
