More Froyo

Can I install this way like I did the first FroYo build?

Extract folder named.....
4. Place folder ..... in the /sdcard/clockwork/backup folder on your sdcard
5. Restart phone in recovery
6. Go to nandroid, select restore, select the above folder and press the camera button.

Thanks for the help!!
yes same install method
Maybe OP should state this. Seems some others tried it the same way as I did and had the install fail from RM. :)

Thanks all for the replies!!! Downloading now!! dancedroid

your downloads are corrupted or you didn't put it in the correct dir. It works just fine in CW-Rom man. I just finished doing a nandroid restore over the last froyo install and it finished just fine.
Just re-downloaded and tried again from RM...same thing...not loading.
Doesn't matter where/what dir you put it in. As long as you navigate to it in RM...it should load it just fine.
Hmmm...weird.

Extracted again and worked the same way as my previous post.
Anyone else find this too?

I don't know what to tell you, and others with issues. instructions say put in /sdcard/clockworkmod/backup/
I notice most are just saying /sdcard/clockwork/backup/ which is not the same folder. You may be right about the folder not really mattering much, but my install worked so *shrug*.

where did it fail? when i did the nandroid restore it does a md5 check and then starts installing.... did you even get that far?

OHHHH, after opening it up it looks like a backup..

Yea, I just noticed that too. There goes my hopes of keeping all my settings. Crossing my fingers that Titanium has better luck restoring this time

Hey now!! I just restored to it without wiping cache or factory reset, and all my apps are here too :) just as long as you weren't running a theme on the last Froyo, you shouldn't have to wipe.

What method you use? CW I had to do a nandroid restore

Well this is nice and all, but I'm going back to bugless beast until somebody comes up with a flashlight app that works on froyo. It's a very small thing, but not having it really sucks. I use it several times a day now.

you could open camera and go to video and use the flash on video camera to turn it on. I did that yesterday to hook up some sound system stuff at the end our service and it worked fine.

My linpack scores at 1.1ghz went from around 12 to around 18 with this build.
