Ya just make sure to use titanium to back up your apps and data,

these frequent leaks of froyo builds are giving me the sneaking suspicion that final release for our ota update should be fairly soon. next 3 weeks or so, which would be in tune with adobe still saying a june release for the first full version of adobe for android (which I'm psyched for, pre release does not have hardware acceleration, full will =) woot)

But anyways I can't see them pushing so many internal update builds unless they were really trying to close this thing and push it out.

well i booted and on the red eye. just got the welcome to droid... sweet

That's what I am doing as I type this!!

Hey now!! I just restored to it without wiping cache or factory reset, and all my apps are here too :) just as long as you weren't running a theme on the last Froyo, you shouldn't have to wipe.

What if you WERE running a theme and you didnt wipe? o.o

I don't really know and I'm not gonna be the one to find out!! :)

Well I just found out and all it does is remove the theme. Downloading new kernel now, then going to try chometophone.

yes same install method
Maybe OP should state this. Seems some others tried it the same way as I did and had the install fail from RM. :)
this is SPRecovery method..I NEVER use ROM Manager. Too many issues
Well the first thread stated to extract the folder and put it in /sdcard/clockworkmod/backup and do a restore. It didn't state to install from RM as a zip.
SO when I loaded it from RM on Saturday, thats exactly how I did it using the nandroid method.
When I tried using 'install zip from sd card' from within the RM app itself, this is when I go the 'nothing happening'.
So I just followed the same method as the original thread and it worked well.

Not sure why it didn't load from RM. Some say it worked, some say it didn't. ::shrugs::

Oh well....done syncing, themed, oc'd. Seems to be fine now :)

Just get the free wifi tethering app off the market, it should work. Search Wifi tether.

hey I do not have access to a PC right now... is there any way to load this with only my Droid? I'm running cyanogenmod 5.0.7.1 and have the free rommanager. But could upgrade to the premium version if needed.

w00t! Chrome to Phone DOES work!!!

Still no wifi tethering though

I'm not able to find the extension for my computer... I clicked the link on a couple of sites but all I got was some weird Google error

anyone with links out there for a mac??

chrometophone-android.apk - chrometophone - Chrome to Phone Extension (Android App) - Project Hosting on Google Code

scan the QR code with barcode scanner, should download automatically to your phone. open with package installer.. then go here: chrometophone-extension-v0.1.crx - chrometophone - Chrome to Phone Extension (Chrome Extension) v0.1 - Project Hosting on Google Code

click the link and install it as an extension with chrome. register the device and it works perfectly. ^^

Hmm, never had an issue, yet. And hopefully won't. Probably will now,,lol

Just took the plunge, installed ROM, kernel, and drop theme at the same time using CW. Everything is fine, so far ;)
