I think the weirdest thing just happened to me... I dl'd the new froyo and nandroid restored into it. Then, the reboot took an insanely long time on the droid eye, and when it finally booted, it booted with all of my apps already loaded... Is that supposed to happen?

I.E.- when it finally booted, it went right into launcherpro, with all of my widgets placed exactly where they were before...

If you didn't wipe Data then yes.

Go to about phone and see if it tells you 2.2

If you did not wipe data/cache now would be a good time to do so. Or you will have issues.

By the way, you might experience some problems because of not wiping data+cache before install.

you do not have to restore again, just boot into recovery wipe data/factory reset and wipe cache. Then reboot.

did you have froyo already

and then move up to a newer release if so no need to wipe
I did it both ways on my phones and I really didn't see the need
just added more work for myself to set things up again.

The one I didn't wipe is running fine so far.

Has anyone else had a problem even verifying Google Voice with Froyo? It keeps telling me the username and password are invalid. I know it is right. I even changed it a couple of times online and it still won't work. I have to have this working or it's a no go for me.

I was thinking the same thing. I'm loving my Froyo but miss streaming Pandora on my way to work.

pandora worked for me. I had to uninstall it and reinstall the app.

I'll give that a shot and try it out on my way home from work. Thanks for the tip.

I just downloaded mine from ROM Manager this afternoon. How do I know if I have a bad one?
