Moto Z Getting Oreo "In a Few Weeks"

I assumed so. I will say that I am very impressed with the battery on my wife's Z2. These chips they put in the Z2 line are pretty battery friendly.

some chips make all the difference in the world when it comes to phone batteries :-)

What kind of chips are we talking about. Personally, I like the jalapeno ones.

My battery life seems to be about the same as it was pre-oreo. I did not do an FRD before or after. The only thing I did was a reboot. Hopefully your phone will settle in better with a little more time Sajo or at the very least, with an update to 8.1 it will hopefully get better.

That has been my observation also. About the same.

Edit: I also like jalapeno chips. I also like fish and chips...

I'm with you on the jalapeno chips ....
My battery stayed about the same. I only cleared my cache and rebooted.

It's a little better today. I have only needed to recharge once (twice yesterday). I noticed that Tapatalk was a huge battery drain yesterday. I have been running an old version for over a year, because I liked that version. So I uninstalled Tappy and installed the newest one from the Play Store and configured it. Then cleared cache and rebooted again. Battery is better, by a little.

Everything is already optimized for me, has been for years. All except Android Wear, you can't optimize that. I fix one app that's killing battery and another just moves up the list. For me, I'm tired of fighting the phone and will just factory reset. Too many Moto users are reporting battery problems to just be a coincidence.
