Motorola Android 2.2 Update Suspended

Quick thought. Maybe the problem wasn't with the update itself but with the push itself? If a few phones got screwed up in the process due to incomplete downloads they put a halt to the push to get the push straightened out?

wait so is the froyo I have ok or no?
Is it running okay? Do you have any problems with it? If the answers are yes and no, then your answer is yes. If you notice rapid battery drain or some other problem, you might want to either try another flavor of FroYo or go the painful root of going back to 2.1.

Yeah, but isn't that for rooted users only?

Correct, FRG22 is for rooted Droids only.
.

Nope that's not correct.

If you use red lite and bootloader to install SPRecovery you can install FRG22. It comes with root. So when you do the install it will root your Droid at that time.

So if I flash FRG22 through RSDlite as the update.zip it roots the phone and puts that froyo build on the phone? Noob at rooting/flashing sorry.

hmm the battery has kind of gone down quickly, i had some weird stuff happen earlier but rebooting my phone seems to have stabilized it runs fairly quickly still. is there anything i should watch out for and what action should I take? or will verizon fix this? or since I forced updated this will they not fix it?

Yup. And then welcome to the world of voided warranties but themes, ROMs, overclocking, and all sorts of other fun stuff! :-)

The only reason You see a battery differences is because you're using it a lot. Froyo does not make the battery worst.

As Hookbill and Miami have said, another build is in the works, and at least one other user has reported that after getting the OTA there was another update and BLAM they had FRG22... Things Are Happening! :)

wrong

Sorry but your sources are wrong, where's the proof? There is no halt to the update, the ones that are havong proplems with the update are the ones that manually updated. The ones that got it ota are not experienceing any prop!!!

Except the person whose phone was so screwed up that VZW is replacing it. The rescue squad fixed it, but the Verizon reps at the store it was taken to couldn't do anything.
