Motorola Droid Bionic Release Date?

I so want the Droid Bionic when it comes out... I have a DX now and, to me, the front-facing camera and the new LTE is enough to win me over. Love big phones.

And my trail has been: Blackberry Storm (I too haaated it...), Droid 1, Droid X, and hoping to add Droid Bionic to the list. Never going back to BlackBerry as a smartphone, eventhough the Playbook is interesting me, Android will stay as the OS of my phone.

Droid Bionic Date

I was in a Verizon store in Sedona, Arizona last week and the manager told me the Droid Bionic would be available in April.

April would be nice. I will not be able to upgrade until June and that should give the software guru's time to see if or figure out how to root it.

eh Ive heard any month between end of march all the way up to June. I do think that April or early may is looking favorable especially since the Droidx is meeting end of life in march.

Hmmm....march and april seem pretty close, esp. march since the tb is still not even out yet..when should we know official date? £dont want the.tb.if the bionic is just around the corner

It'll probably be a while before we know. They haven't announced an official date with the Thunderbolt. I wouldn't take too much stock in what anyone says about the release date as they don't even know the date on the Thunderbolt and it's much closer to being released than the Bionic.

I just called customer service and my local store and neither have a idea for a release date for the Bionic.

Most of what I've read has been mid to late April, but I just read something TODAY Feb. 21 that it'll be coming in June. I really hope not cuz my upgrade is in April :/

I've been following this phone since I first saw the rumors following it. Unfortunately, I've been waiting too long (My Dare is on its last strides and I gotta bite the bullet soon here) and I won't make it until the Bionic. With the way Verizon has been having trouble introducing phones lately, I don't see it being out until mid-summer, of course this is speculation.

I'm not used to this. I've had my D1 for 13 months. I'm used to my yearly upgrades. I was hoping to only have to wait until April. I've been tempted to get a DX, but with this on the horizon, I'm going to have to wait.

All I know, is my Droid one was my favorite phone ever, and met an untimely death this November (after a 6month up and down struggle to live post flash flood-wading thru 4ft deep water drowning incident). Since then I've been using a hand-me-down BB storm, which does nothing but make me want to punch a kitten... who's internet access also just died after a single and solitary drop incident...

I've been waiting for this phone since it was announced, and seeing things like the Atrix go to At&t, and the Tbolt come to Verizon months before the Bionic, it's very difficult to excercise any patience, especially when my upgrade is up mid March... Hurry up Moto!
