Motorola Droid Case Reviews

just got my waterfield sleeve. pretty nice. came with a note about it being snug, and how to loosen it up, but personally, i wish it was a lil tighter to begin with. if i loosely hold on to just the bag, the phone can slide right out.
Don't loosely hold on to just the bag :) I love my Waterfield sleeve (w/ pocket). It's sittin here on my desk with my earbuds tucked in the pocket. Mine has loosened up just a bit and it still fits great. I don't want to struggle to get it out and I've never had it fall out.

haha yea i know. i was just thinking of the worst case scenario. the bag itself does not have the strenght to hold the phone in. i don't see it being a big deal.

I just got my waterfield sleeve today too. I want to try to stretch it so I can use both my Seidio case with it.

I almost wish I got the one with the pocket now that I use my Droid as my primary music and movie player

i got the one with the pocket even though i don't plan on using the pocket. it looks less plain and adds a smidge of extra cushioning,

also got my g1 sleeve. this one seems like it could definitely help out in a fall.

Please let us know if you are able stretch it enough to have the Droid in the Seidio case fit in it. I just ordered the Seidio case and am also considering the pouch to help protect the screen when I put it in my handbag.

I just got the verizon wsell/holster combo. I love the shell nice clean fit. BUT The holster just holds the phone IT DOES NOT SECURE IT. Word of warning. My jacket caught the corner of the holster & the droid slid out about a 1/4 of an inch. I then took the holster held it upside down and give it a little shake the phone slides out about half way.
I think I am going to try the seido combo.
The clip on top looks like it will lock the phone in.
Can anyone with the seido combo confirm that for me with an upside down shake :)
Thanks in advance

Waterfield Case

Received my Waterfield case yesterday. With the Verizon case removed, it fits the Droid perfectly. Purchased it mainly because I have other Waterfield products and have always been impressed by their quality.

Pros:

() Stylish. Definitely non-geeky. Goes well with a suit or (I presume) an evening bag. Meets Waterfield's usual high standard of looks, feel, and construction.
() Pocket is a nice touch. Stretchy material will hold a couple of credit cards and a driver's license, eliminating the need for a wallet on special occasions.

Cons:

() Unsure, as yet, if it will work with the Seidio case. I was able to stretch it (barely) enough to cram the phone with the Verizon case into it, but it would not have been a practical approach.

() Removal is a bit tricky and since it's a sleeve it has to be completely removed to use the phone. If you're a klutz (and I am), it may not be the case for you, especially if the phone must be used without a case of any kind.

() Wish it came in some other colors. The black is stylish but I've already misplaced the case twice because it's difficult to see in a dimly lit room.

() Can it "fall out" of the sleeve? Yes. If you pick it up by the bottom corner, the phone will slide out. (At least mine will after having tried it with the Verizon case.) So, as the doctor says, "If it hurts when you do that, don't do that."

Bottom line is that I'll see if it can be used with my forthcoming Seidio case. Regardless, I may use it for "dress up" occasions but unlikely to use it on a daily basis.

I'm looking for an affordable flip-style flap case like the Noreve, with the click-in holders. My biggest concern with Noreve is that there's no hole to see the notification light. Anything out there like this? I'm not interested in flip cases that use plastic over the keyboard or leather bits covering any part of the screen. And I can't afford Vaja or Pia at this point.

I'm using it with my Seidio case today. It is taking a bit of work to stretch it out but I think it is slowly stretching to wear it needs to be.

I started stretching it with the case on last night and I left the waterfield case partially on with the seidio case overnight while it was charging.

This morning it slid into the top of the case a bit easier but I still had to work the rest of the Droid into the case.

Right now, my Droid is fully in the waterfield case with the seidio case on it. It is a pain to take out but I am at work and can't really play with my phone much anyway so I figured this would be a good opportunity to leave in the case for a few hours and let it stretch out.

It seems to be working but it's taking a bit of time. I'm hoping by the end of the weekend I will have it stretched enough to fit the phone with the seidio case on.

I had this problem with the shell/holster combo for the Storm. The phone slid right out, so I returned it. I didn't really give it much consideration for the Droid for that reason.
