Motorola Droid T2 Dual CPU Super Phone?!

That picture has been floating around the internet for ever. I was following Nvidia Tegra MID's for a while waiting for the release which was supposed to be last year.

Go here and look at the date on the page, back in 2009

I would say that is a very raw concept design that probably didn't even come from Motorola being that it has Nvidia branding on the front of it, not to say that Nvidia did it either. Probably a design for just a presentation of some sort. The specs sound great though and it would absolutely blow the smartphone game wide open with who has the best phone because the Iphone couldn't really come at you with better features.

Well there you go. You confirmed the speculation. And beat me to the punch. Oh well.

im skeptical about that pic. first, that DOES appear to be a touch keyboard...which makes no sense. and if its actually a physical keyboard, then its a huge mistake. moto learned a lesson on the D1...thats a fact. why would they knowingly cause more problems? and second, either that phone is very small or its just fat as hell...also making no sense. people (not i) like thin light weight phones. this is looking like the devour 2 imo. perhaps im wrong, but i just dont see this being an accurate photo...doesnt follow motos form factor.

I seem to be one of only a few who use the actual keyboard on the D1. I love it way more than the touch. Just a lot easier to me.

This phone looks awesome though. Can't wait to see actual pictures of it and more specs.

Great looking phone...glad I still have another NE2 I can transfer from another line (sorry Dad you will still be stuck with the 4 year old RZR for 2 more years :-)!!

Funny comments about the "touch sensitive keyboard"...if it doesn't have that and has a normal key press keyboard I will pass on it. I personally hated going from using the virtual screen keyboard and then switching over to having to PRESS keys on the D1 hard keyboard...it made going back and forth "unintuitive" for me and very distracting. I would prefer each keyboard to "feel" and respond the same.

This is also part of the reason I got my X, heck, the X's land scape vitural keyboard is MUCH, MUCH bigger than even the D1 hard keyboard :-) Plus I hated the D1 HKB so much that in the last 6 months the only time I used the hard keyboard was to hold down the X key :-) So, I gave the D1 to my wife and ironically she loves the hard keyboard and the key presses...go figure. BUT, her hands are tiny compared to my "12.5 ring size" fingers/hands.

I don't know about a 5", the screen on the DX is plenty big.. (and too big for some people, wimps.. J/K :-)... as long as it is 4"-4.3"..anything less and I would pass.

INB4 this phone comes out and people complain because it only gets three hours of battery life.

The only things that benefity at least two processing cores are gaming (Full version games like Bioshock and Mass Effect) and things like video editing. Will you really be doing things like that on your phone?

I'm hoping this mockup/design depicted is close to the final product. I will also wait in line for it.

After serving in the military, I refuse to wait in lines any more. :)

But I think I would like to add this phone to my current "I want" list. Of course, with this coming out in December? I suspect I will have another "I want" phone say by March 2011? And another by June 2011? Verizon needs to come up with a program where you PAY for the privilege? of swapping phones every 2-3 months so you can get the latest greatest phone.

SUperphone, I am skeptical because the droid pro was suppose to be the "superphone", but I am putting money aside just in case.
