Motorola XOOM $800 plus minimum 1 month service?

did anyone else notice the prices for "3G tablet" service of 1GB / $20 - 3GB / $35 - 5GB / $50 - 10GB / $80? Shouldn't it be the same price as a phone's data plan?

Man, and I was really interested in this tablet.

I mean, I know everyone wants the biggest bang for their buck, but that buck is way too big. And the service plan, even if its for 1 month is ridiculous.

This confirms my opinion that buying and rooting a nook color for $250 is a MUCH better choice. The xoom specs are awesome, but in my opinion don't warrant a price 3 times as much especially when having to deal with this malarkey.

For 800 bucks i would just get a decent quad core i5 powered laptop :/

I dont understand the tablet craze anyway, is it the ooh ahh its a big touchscreen factor?

So does having one month mean you have to pay the ETF? Usually with VZW if canceled within 30 you don't but after 30 you do... or is this a month to month type thing?

Compare the battery life of an i5 to a xoom tablet, now compare a similarly spec'd laptop with similar battery life.

You will find that a laptop with 10+ hours of battery life and is as powerful (or utilitarian in weight/size) as the motorola xoom is comparably priced.

I think this ad may be fake. Activation is misspelled and so is "lightning" in the top left. Just saw it on droid life. Take it how you will

Wow, yeah that's pretty odd. 1 typo once in a while? Plausible. But 2 in a BIG ad from a major retail chain? Fishy.
