Look for that this week maybe...and eh Epic is a nice device as I am sure the merge will be too.... I would have gotten that one if it were a 4" screen... I believe it's 3.7 or 3.8 I keep forgetting

I was impressed with the G2 when I got to touch it...so if it has that quality than cool...I just stopped watching stuff on it

I like to give devices shorter, cooler names - Like the upcoming (maybe maybe not) iPhone I have pinned as the VeriPhone and we all already know the Droid Incredible as the Dinc - So in case no one has done it yet the Droid Incredible HD can be shortened to the HDinc :wink:

I like it. I have been using the veriPhone name to. I must have read it in one of your posts.

Well - Monday is now winding to a close and nothing. Miami...any chance you will hear from your Verizon contact today? Or have already heard that is. Business hours have now closed on the east coast...so I fear we may be in for yet another delay.

So, today Engadget all but 100% confirmed 2.3 is Gingerbread.

Is this consistent with what you all have been thinking? I'm sorry if I've missed anything obvious since the start of the thread, but I'm an occasional viewer/poster.

That;s the merge I believe...and it's still not announced,,,go figure :icon_eek: though I continue ot hear the 11th with the new tablets...hmmm

If that's true, than the Merge to me would of been the best kept secret released date phone for verizon. because i still cannot find a release date for it on google. haha. or it can be that no one really cares for the Merge.

I heard from them 3 times today....

In the end it comes down to two trains of thought... yes there are two devices ( again i was told this at 4) and yes a 3G version is on tap as well as an LTE version. Now what I haven't confirmed yet is the why. I have been in contact by email and phone as recently as the last hour..

Now its time for boy scouts 10 year old son) so i'll be hanging around checking my phone for emails a while longer

Yes I have a friend that has the G2 and if it had sense and it was on Verizon....that would be the phone of my choice.

Gingerbread is not going to be 2.3. Those of us with the Droid 2 are running 2.3.2 right now, and trust me it isn't Gingerbread.
