My next phone was to be the Droid 2 Global. However, the rumor about the HTC Incredible HD, and that it was due soon and was a global phone, has given me pause. All the leaks have talked about a 4″+ screen, front facing camera and some say possibly Global. Anything more definitive out there about this? I have suffered with my BB Storm 1 for almost 2 years now. I want a good android Global phone on Verizon. If this rumor is just that, then I guess I'll pull the trigger on the D2G.

I haven't heard anything about it being global. Stay tuned for confirmation on that part of the rumor.

whats main diff between droid x and hd incredible?

Droid X
1ghz processor - 1st generation from Texas Instruments I believe
4.3" Screen
MotoBlur User Interface

HTC DINC HD
Rumored to have a processor greater than 1ghz...second generation Snapdragon much improved in speed.
4.3" Screen
Sense 2.5 User Interface
Latest dedicated GPU

There will be differences in RAM and Internal memory that favor the HTC DINC HD as well as the build quality. For how impressive the phone is - go to Youtube and search for HTC Desire HD (essentially the phone that we are getting) and see how responsive it is. The screen transitions, kinetic scrolling, maps and internet searches are lighting fast. No lag like in the stock DX Motoblur.

The HTC just comes off as a more polished device in both hardware and software.

The Storm did more harm for RIM than any previous device. Then to add insult to injury - they opted to not have an all touch screen device to retain customers coming off their NE2 contracts that bought the (then) flagship VZW device - the original Storm.

RIM and Verizon really screwed up the Storm and will screw up even bigger if they offer nothing new for those of us to move to that are coming off contract.

Don't get me started on the horror that is the Storm. 5 sec lags, shutdowns when you take a picture, over 5 minutes for the browser to pull up a web page. If it wasn't for the community of OS hybrid builders the phone would have been unusable. I will never own another RIM product no matter the recommendations.

I guess, we will just have to all patiently wait. I just returned my 2 fault Xs (within 30 days), and am now SUFFERING again with my BB S%&t2.
