I just spoke to someone at customer support at VZW and she said that customer support usually has no info on phones until it is also provided to the customers, lol.

I for one, am really hoping this Friday pre-order date comes true.

Well the HTC Merge is not delayed because it is getting LTE. So I'm guessing this will be true for the Inc. HD as well.

That's interesting. I'm assuming these run on 3G without the LTE sim card, so it makes sense not to produce 2 devices, or have to deal with ignorant customers who are irate that their new phone isn't LTE compatible, even if they should have known better.

Not making the Droid Pro LTE can be explained by being targeted to corporate who won't really care about the speed and, given a choice, wouldn't pay for faster data service anyway.

I know you were kidding with the post, but I suspect there might be more wisdom to it than you think. I will guarantee they watch this and other boards to gauge response to new and possibly new items and help decide when and how to release them. Loads of marketing research done for only the cost of the employees monitoring the websites compared to paying and bringing in random groups of people for test market surveys.

Good points, but these forums also aren't a very representative sample. Valuable data, sure, but I don't think it replaces researching and understanding the 99% of customers who aren't obsessed enough to frequent these forums.

i agree. Anything speculated from speaking with a vzn rep is plain retarded if your trying to prove anything against this phone's existance..

If you get them to admit the phone exist that is progress in my eyes but there is no reason for anything else to be shared as a part of the convo..

A VZW part number or catalog number would be nice for the people who speak to CSR and do get some sort of positve confirmation. With this then someone who works in a store can look it up and post a screen shot. (only if there is no possiblity that you will get fired)
