Check @V3RDICT on twitter (the same guy that says the Merge is delayed to have an LTE radio) He has a post that says Incredible HD is coming first of the year.

Why am I not surprised!

Still - it would be very foolish of Verizon to go into the Holidays without a top tier handset for the touch screen crowd. They risk losing los of customers that are coming off contract this fall/winter.

I vote for no more sharing of individual conversations between forum members and VZW Cust support. They are unreliable, regardless of the outcome.
Lets wait for the main information suppliers. (BMX or Miami)

Based on the online poll the Droid Pro and D2 Global will not boost sales like VZW was hoping. I see the market for slider Droid's pretty saturated and the next big device that people are waiting for is a new all touch screen device. The DINC is small and old and the DX is also getting to be on the old side of things.

VZW is crazy if they don't release a high end 3G touch screen phone before Christmas.

AT&T - still has the iPhone to push for the holidays along with the latest Storm and W7 phones. Being that AT&T is their largest competitor - they really need to either have a new high end touch screen Blackberry or Droid to market. At this point they do not.

I agree, but here's a thought. Let's assume all the rumors about the iPhone coming in Jan/Feb are true. Despite what many of us feel, VZW is going to sell a boatload of those devices and have a huge marketing push. Now if VZW introduces some truly flagship devices before the iPhone release, they may think that they won't sell well due to people holding off to check out the iphone. If this is true, it would make sense to wait for VZW to incorporate LTE into these phones so that it would differentiate them from the iphone and would not cannibalize iphone sales. Don't forget that VZW doesn't really care what phone you buy, but that you're signing up for an expensive data plan. By keeping the iphone4 on its 3G network, it allows many people to have a highend smartphone with a reasonable data price. When LTE comes out, I'm sure data packages will be more expensive and allow the hardcore users to buy higher end android devices which will allow VZW to make more money off new plans/packages which is why they would delay the DINC HD and stick an LTE radio in it. A 3G DINC HD isn't enough of a change from an EVO to make people switch to VZW who haven't done so already.

You really think Verizon is worried They are the Top Cell phone company then AT&T then Sprint... AT&T is holding on by a thread. Once they loose the Iphone they are finished. The new Droid might keep them for a while but once Verizon get it. It is all over for them. They have to many dropped calls. I do not think they are ask risk at all. The Droid X is still selling at a great rate along with the Discounts that are going on now with the Incredible.. Fascinate is doing pretty good... Once LTE comes in and they get the Iphone in the 1st or 2ndQ They will be no more competition from other company's. Although I hate the I phone most of AT&T's Iphone customers will drop them in a minute to come to Verizon for more reliable service.

It seems the Incredible HD and the Merge are both being pushed to Q1 2011 in favor of LTE. The Merge being the first VZW LTE device, followed shortly by 3 other HTC devices in Q1 alone.

I called Verizon today and was told that they are not told any thing about any phone on till it comes out they do not know any thing at all :blackdroid: what can you do but wait!!!!!!!!! Maybe by friday???? dancedroid
