Mysterious Device Now With November 23 Launch date

Reason #1. D1, DX, D2 and the Inc all sold out release day. Even with 3 Verizon stores around me. #2. I work with the government. It takes a good 10 min just to get threw security. So I couldn’t leave on my lunch break. Look, I’m not saying this is going to be a stand in line iPhone. But I rather get it on release day like i did for my Droid than wait almost a month like my wife did for her dx to be delivered.

I got my Droid 1 on the 7th of november without any problems. I could have picked it up an release day but my dad would not come to the store and let me upgrade then. Also i never saw the D2 on back order on line on in my store. It must depend where you live. This phone is going to be HOT so if you want it when it comes out then pick it up release day or pre-order.

As much as I want to wait for this phone I don't know that I'm going to make it. I am a Storm1 user that was upgraded to a S2 by Verizon after multiple device swaps. I have had this current S2 for about 2 weeks now and its starting to do the same things the others did. Now I have to place yet another call to support and I'm guessing there solution is going to be another S2 overnight.

If I never see another BB phone it will be too soon. I have been eligible for a upgrade since 7/24/10 but decided to use the warranty that I have been paying them for, for over two years now, and see how that plays out. Oh what a fun game Verizon is turning the warranty replacement into. Bastards! LOL!

Lol, what? A dual core chip implies that there are two physical cores on the die. Speed has nothing to do with it.

i was merely asking if there is a single core surpassing 1.0 ghz i should of worded it better i guess.. not talking about overclocking, my droid is clocked at 1.2 ghz..

I wasn't talking about overclocking either. In fact, i have no idea what you are talking about now.

Say Nabraham, you've got less than 10 post here, and most have been a bit rude or sarcastic. Perhaps that's not your intention, but this a friendly/helpful forum. Why don't you dial it back a little.

I see that there are more than just me with issues with their Storm. :) I'm not the only one as verizon claims I am. haha.I'm actually going to need to take off work to get the phone too... :/. But I have a feeling it'll be worth it. I work during the mid day... and if I wait till after work I have this feeling they will all be gone. :icon_eek: So I will make sure that I have one in hands if it is released on the 23rd, so I can throw the storm away! I've had this one for 2 days.... (7th replacement) and it's acting up again. they really didn't put enough thought into this phone.

Hopefully everything is released soon so everyone has the correct specifics on the phone (not a push) and that the release date is on track so those of us who would have to take off work to take advantage of this wonderful phone, will be able to. Hopefully everyone on this thread will get one and not be on back order. I live in a bigger city, so hoping that not as many people know about it as I hope. lol

This could be a future HTC Phone to go against The Droid T2

HTC HDD is Back: Finished Design and Specs Available Now!

Antoine Brieux showed us a teaser of the promising HTC Touch HD Dual (HTC HDD) last week and now he’s back with the final version of the concept. Don’t expect to see this handset in shops, since it’s only a mere design, but maybe HTC will use it as an inspiration for its future projects. Click on the following images to see them enlarged:
This multi OS device comes with impressive specs, like 1080p video recording, HDMI connectivity, screen optimization and a hard buttons manager detailed below. Also, the full specifications list is mentioned in the last image, with the most impressive feats being the 1.5GHz dual core Qualcomm Snapdragon CPU, 10 megapixel camera with dual LED flash and 4G connectivity.
This device is able to run Android 2.2 or Windows Phone 7 or even switch between them with ease, also relying on the 1GB of RAM memory. It’s highly likely that till next summer we’ll get to see such handsets on the market, or even sooner. Great job Antoine!

wow. that many problems with the storm? I thought they were decent phone? on the release date. we all know verizon, great company bad on their pushes and release dates. just keep your fingers crossed, cuz you do need a new phone.

I tried to answer his question at first then told him i don't know what he is asking. How is that a problem?

That is a sweet design man, thanks for posting that. I can't imagine Microsoft allowing something like that being made though. But i guess if HTC paid royalties to them for use of Windows 7 i don't see the harm in it.

this "mysterious" phone will merely be verizons version of the evo 4g...i dont understand how ppl are getting worked up over this phone acting like its the greatest thing ever...last time i checked it doesnt even exist...i know ppl from verizon and they dont know nuthin..smh

I can somewhat agree with that. I'm coming from an HTC Eris though so this would be a huge upgrade. I will agree that all in all it's nothing revolutionary and its somewhat annoying that Verizon seems to get Sprints sweet Android phone down the line with nothing major added (See Hero/Eris, Evo/Inc HD).

Really all i want is a powerhouse Android phone with stock Android on it. HTC Sense doesn't do much for me. But for now this will have to do.

On the phone with them now. They want to send me yet another refurbed S2. Time for some yelling...
