New Apps from 2.1

@Rin, you are my HERO! I honestly think that method was the one that fixed my force closing issue. What does that chain of events even do to fix the issue? I tried a ton of battery pulls before, reboots, uninstalls, installs using ADB, installs using the browser, etc etc and nothing eliminated it. Even formatted my SD card multiple times!

glad it worked. I took the instructions in the starting Post.
I dont know what that chain does, but it was my
"Thats what i do with not working blackbery apps"-Chain,
and it worked again.

FYI, it also adds the new 2.1 Clock Widget..it's not something to get excited about, but it is a little different from other clocks.

Agree 100%!! I wish someone would make a Droid Clock widget that was just a 2x2 version of the Lock Screen Clock (and 2.1 DeskClock)!

Oh BTW, anyone care for a little 2.1 Music Player? It is now available as an installable app for nonrooted 2.0.1! Basically the same but has tabs at the top of the screen which is pretty handy.

mine non stop force closes...and it's killing me. I want the 2.1 gallery to work

I had the same issue, here us how i solved it:

Do a battery pull
boot again
uninstall the APK
reboot
install the APK again

That worked for me so far, no issues anymore. Try it!

Unfortunately I spoke too soon, back to force closing. For whatever reason the 2.1 gallery just doesnt work with my Droid... so sad.

I'm the only one with severe lag issues after installing the new Launcher today?

No, but I experience that the launcher on occasion opens and then I cannot swipe to go down the list, get haptic feedback, but no movement, going to try a batt pull, but I'm not worried as it was meant for 2.1 ...

Unfortunately I spoke too soon, back to force closing. For whatever reason the 2.1 gallery just doesnt work with my Droid... so sad.

Damnit.

I just have one last idea,
do what i recommended earlyier, BUT
DOWNLOAD the file again BEFORE and copy it
AGAIN to SD Card, maybe its just the file beeing corrupt

Can't wait for legit 2.1 mmm but thanks for these apps! They'll hold me over until the real thing comes out.
