Anyway to hide or get the original gallery off app screen?

After installing the clock it appeared and then never did again.
How do I get this to appear as locking screen?

I do have lock pattern enabled is that the issue?

There are instructions in this thread to get rid of the original gallery, it requires your phone to be rooted.

You can get to the clock by putting your phone in the dock or by going to "Clock" in your app drawer.

You can't have the clock appear as your lock screen, it is meant to be used on a dock.

They don't work unless you root and put the full 2.1 on there. Even then they only have it partially working.

I mean in general. They aren't animated gifs because you can interact with some of them from what I have seen, so how do they work?

It's MAGIC!!!!

Seriously the concept is pretty simple, a screen touch sends a signal to the animation just like it would when opening a shortcut etc.

NOW, as far as the code, I would imagine it is anything but simple.

BUT, personally I am gonna be pi$$ed if they spent all the time to make this work (which is very cool and I can't wait to have) and didn't fix the BT handsfree code and other more important issues..

The new 2.1 Gallery = Cool
The new 2.1 News and Weather app = Cool
The new 2.1 5 Screens and Home Navigation = Cool
The new 2.1 3D App Drawer = Cool
The new 2.1 Animated Interactive Wallpaper = VERY Cool
Not fixing Handsfree BT dialing in 2.1 yet doing all the above = NOT COOL!

When I tap on it the screen goes dim...

That is for when you go to sleep and don't want it to be really bright. If you HOLD that little sun it will turn into a black/green version of the clock which is also good at night.

I for one think I will wait till the end of this month.

I'm using these apps as stand-ins until the update. I'm bored waiting and didn't want to resort to rooting quite yet lol. These are really nice to get familiar with 2.1. But if we don't get the update I sure as heck going to be rooting my phone lol

BTW, though I personally don't like the new clock dock wise, I can live with it.

Anyways, on the press to hold Green clock, what level you set with the dimmer sets that ones brightness as well, in other words, you can have two brightnesses of the green clock, just can't toggle it witht eh dimmer itself.

Don't forget the Music app from 2.1! I don't believe you can just install it through Astro though.
