[New!!!][ROM] D1-MIUI-1.1.7.0

I can't download It right to my phone like I use to with the pic epic fail

1.1.7 on the OP is 90.2mb, the version available on Rom Manager is about 83mb. Any difference? I figured bigger is better so grabbed this one ;)

Anyone, is there a setting in the DF app that will allow you to download the rom since it is a pic now? If I use the phone's browser it will download fine but not with the DF app.

New idea for the link in the op. The link in the op should say download the latest miui but when you click on it it will take you to the user guide thread. In the bottom of the op of the users guide, there will be a question that says did you read this with 2 links one yes and one no. The yes will direct you to the download and the no link will reload the users guide.

2 Questions

Just wanted to ask if there is going to be a fix for the miui gallery. Mine flickers of and on. It loads up but the thumbs and picture just flicker. My second question is that in some other Roms there are themed widgets. Like facebook in black, google search, things like that. Is there anyway to do that. And by the way I love this Rom. Have been with it, from the very first release. It gets better every week. Thanks

Hey guys what do you back up using Mui to restore the desktop. Do you backup system or apps.

I think I've read that it's just apps that you back up. I tried the MIUI back up and it worked well but, I was wondering how to stop the market from refreshing the apps so I can apply the back up.

I've got everything reloaded okay but, for future updates, is there a way to keep my phone from trying to reinstall my apps (since I have them in a MIUI backup)? Seemed like I had the MIUI back up going and had the market trying to download my apps at the same time.

Thanks.
You can skip the activation screen by tapping once in each corner top left, top right, bottom right, bottom left. I do this every time. I then use MIUI Backup to restore apps then my call logs, MMS msgs, wifi-settings, and desktop layout from the system tab. Then add your google acct. in accounts and settings or launch gmail.
Works like a charm, every time.
There is a video on you tube if you need further clarification on the activation screen part.

This feels like a stupid question...like I should know how to do this already..I might be having a brain cramp or something...but how do you restore you call logs, mms, msgs and wifi settings and the desktop layout from the systems tab?

Thanks :icon_eek:

Only issue i have run into is i am getting a lot more Launcher FC's than ever. Never had that issue with any of the prior builds. ?? Suggestions??

you do it through miui backup app

Everything seemed pretty good except the same thing with the Miui gallery and camera that has been reported. I received a text message though and it locked up and I had to do a battery pull when I tried to bring it out of sleep. Ended up just loading another rom for now. I will try it again later, just needed to have a reliable phone for a bit. Anyone else ever have this problem ?

This is strange...this build and many of the past few have been eating my battery life like crazy, I've tried every kernel, I turn off wifi, bluetooth, sync, GPS, brightness, you name it. But here is something I noticed. With Set CPU, I always set it on conservative at 550 Max 250 Min, click set it on boot...my Set CPU widgit shows my settings. Then when the screen goes dark and you press the power button to turn the screen back on, the Set CPU widgit reads 800 Max, 250 Min EVERY time. It's like Set CPU won't throttle down with Miui. You set it to 550, and soon as the screen times out, it goes back up to 800. It's killing the battery life. Anyone else having this problem? Sucks cause this new build is do good, it's a shame to have the battery dieing so fast. Any ideas??

the lock screen text icon still won't give me google voice as a choice.

Google Voice is not an SMS/MMS client and as such is not seen by the Android system as one; truth be told it has more akin to an IM client. This is why the lock screen SMS icon will not redirect to Google Voice, and it probably never will.

I un-installed setCPU because of this. It has a mind of its own. Launcher is blazing fast now, even @ 600MHz stock w/ Hi-Res Graphics disabled in Launcher settings.
