New System app called Absolute System. In need of testers

i didnt spend too much time with it, but it pretty much seemed like a Kangerade Scripts app, but also including the Root Manager, which is a huge plus!

if i switch roms, i will definitely use your app for quick changes, cause thats one thing i live about kangerade.

as another person said, the quick reboot/reboot into recovery are great options i like.

i would also like a font preview. its kind of a pain to try to switch fonts, without really knowing what the font looks like haha. (idk if your app does that or not, but i know for a fact kangerade doesnt)

overall, your work is very well done, and is greatly appreciated. thanks for the link to your app, and if i switch from kangerade, i will DEFINITELY use your app!! keep up the good work, brother.

Thats the Point of this app is to be a standalone, not rom specific. if you look at the bigger picture the possibilities of this is endless. I would include this this in any theme I create! just gotta work around the goodies folder. if there is way to include all the goodies and install on the SD card you have a winner here!!!

Side Note Why arent you on the Beta Team??? Ill see what I can do about that!

exactly my thoughts. this could work with any theme, so long as they have a goodies folder, right?

how can you get with all the devs to include that? or maybe include a goodies folder along with the purchase of this app?

this is a great thing!

Thats the issue right there you cant expect everyone to DL the Goodies folder, im sure there is way to include it with the app and have it install to the sd card! in fact I know there is a way just gotta do some scripting!!

Just ran across this thread. I'll be more then happy to test for ya also seeing as I change ROMs like the wind anyways.

Just downloaded and looked quick as I just got to the office but looks good so far from my brief viewing of it.

I'll give it some use if you're still looker for testers.

I'm a noob when it comes to android development but I've worked in a software QA and KB environments in the past and have beta tested many bits of software as well - so I'm fairly technically savvy. :)

Fantastic app and very easy to navigate.

Replacing Boot Animations and rebooting with CM 6 RC1 worked like a dream. I look forward to trying out some of the other scripts as well.

Working great on Sapphire 0.8.4. I've been able to change boot animations and reboot so far. Gonna test out some LWP and fonts next.

Great job on this. You really have something here, I could easily see this becoming an "must have" app.

Ok just did some more testing and came up with something interesting. After I installed Absolute System I messed around w/ LWP, boot ani, and file explorer. All of that went great.

However, when I open the browser it would not let me navigate to any pages. I had a full 3g signal and it would sit and process like it was loading up the webpage. Never got beyond that, it would eventually time out. I tried clearing the data, cache, history, etc. Nothing worked, so i uninstalled, rebooted, and now I'm able to surf the web again.

Again I'm on Sapphire 0.8.4 with the Smoked Glass Blue No Fonts Theme.

Anyone else had anything like this happen?

I had some browser issues earlier *after* installing this app, but they seem to have cleared up and no indication this app is whats caused it.

DLing Now. will give it a good run through and let you know! FYI I have tons of Server space for the Goodies Folder if thats what you need!

Everything works as it should. Well done sir

My suggestions:
1. Option for themes
2. Option for kernels
3. Option to overclock the CPU

I think if those were added this would truly be the "absolute system" app.

This is really really nice. I'm no where near at the computer savvy level that a lot of the people here at DF are, but it downloaded super easy, and the interface was really simple to work with. The boot loaders and live wall paper controls were simple, and the reboot system controls were also simple. It was quick to boot to recovery. The only problem I have had is trying to remove an app. I kept getting an FC message when I tried to remove an app I had downloaded from the Market earlier in the day. It could easily be operator error, and I'm going to keep playing with it. All in all, I think this is a great addition, and I appreciate the work you have done. Very nice job.
