New Unlimited Plan from Big Red?

I didnt receive an email and called and got the discount. I called the number on the flyer, told the representative i found the deal online and he explained this is just a way they are trying to save their customers money. It was pretty simple. There is only one question, there is 33 pages in this thread and im sure the question is easy and probably answered but this includes unlimited night and weekends right. I assumed yes but its not on the flyer so i just wanted to clarify with someone who may have asked.

I know this is a bit soon but.. Has anyone tried to switch from a feature phone on unlimited data to a smart phone with unlimited data? I have 2 Droids and 2 feature phones all ready for an upgrade. I upgraded to the promotional plan and have unlimited data on all 4 lines. When I try to purchase new droids as replacements for the feature phones I get a message saying that I need to choose a new data plan. How do I keep the promotional plan? When I call VZ no one seems to be able to help.

I have 2 droids and 3 feature phones. I was told I needed to upgrade the phones before getting the promotional plan. So I upgraded on the phone and then she was able to give all 5 of my lines the unlimted data promotion.

I'm in Illinois. It seems this "regional rollout" explanation isn't holding much weight. Maybe it would help if everyone that got the deal posted where they are from?

I checked online, this is what I found. So I presume......yes. Of course, keep an eye on it and make sure it stays that way.

I checked online, this is what I found. So I presume......yes. Of course, keep an eye on it and make sure it stays that way.

Thanks, i just checked my account and noticed that was still in there. This is an awesome deal as my contract wasn't up for another year anyway.

I feel a bit shady, (but after reading all this, less shady!) but I called up and mentioned I wanted more information on the unlimited txt,pix,data plan and that I'm looking at the email. (i was, kind of; the link above) He said, I don't see that we sent this to you. I mentioned I was looking at it. He said hmmm, for what line. I gave my primary and he said well, ok we'll add it. We currently have a 5 line plan with 3 people already on smart phones.

I then asked about BOGO, as we had two lines due. I got the Droid2 for 250-100MIR. He said the Incredible was $199 but he'd credit the full $199 as the free. What?? nice.. So, I said 250-100 and the $20 early upgrade fee. (my primary line at 1 year) Then he said, we'll you're a good customer so I'll waive that. Booyah. I added an accessory for the incredible, a car charger and case for $22 to sweeten it a little.

So our $250/mo bill goes down to say $210 and two more lines get unlimited data. NICE Maybe I should have went Galaxy S, but I wasn't going to get too picky.



If I login to the myverizon account, I don't see the new plan, does it take a bit to show up?

I live in Pittsburgh and was able to get this plan. When i called and got the low down on this promo able to save about 8 dollars a month for the individual plan. Before the promo i had 450 minutes, 500 texts, and unlimited data for around 72.38 with my company discount. Now to get the promo plan i had to switch to the 450 minutes with unlimited text for 59.99 and get unlimited data for 9.99 a month and my company discount would only come off the 59.99 to make my bill 56.79 a month without taxes. Is this about the same for everyone else out there with an individual plan?

True statement. The guy I talked to (Herman) acted like it was his job to offer the upgrade, he was very excited to tell me how much money I would be saving. Go Big Red!

I got it good first try. Pretty much a good save of 10 bucks.

From normal 90 a month to 80. 69.99 plus the tax lol but ya it's all good, plus now unlimited text and I can put my friends on my friends thing so I can talk to them for free even though they're different networks. Woo!


What other people are wondering about me:

She did ask me where I got this info. I said I saw the ad on the internet. And she asked me if it was ok to look in my account and I said yes ma'am. And she did and well it all went through anyways lmao so whatever and an extended contract is nothing since I'll be on Verizon anyways.

I wonder if it can be applied correctly if I have 3 smart and 2 dumb phones. I'm upgrading two lines to smart phones, but won't be able to do that until Fri/Sat.

Mine isn't showing up correctly online, no txt or anything as well. He got my email to do the confirmation; maybe that was jut for shipping. Usually I do get an email on a change of plan.

i just called in for this. i have no idea how i got the deal i got. double checked everything and everything is in fact unlimited.

I was expecting $140 + $20 (for 3 data lines). but instead i got this...

$110 for first line (w unlimited txt/data) + $10 (second line w unlimited txt/data) + $10 (third line w unlimited txt/data)

i went from $200 (pre tax + etc) to $120 (minus my 17% corporate discount which stayed). this is simply awesome!!!

Been out of the loop here the past couple of days. I saw the BGR report earlier today and see 35 pages of thread on it here. We have a 5 line Family Share plan. We have 3 smartphones and 2 dumbphones. I don't mind extending the contracts for a year, because all 5 in the plan have a VZW logo tattoo I really don't want to be forced to upgrade a phone on my son's line. That will be for my upgrade when the LTE comes out next year. Our current plan is the Nationwide 1400 minute Select plan. This could be a big savings for us since we're spending $90 in data plans alone already.
