Well unless many people in this thread are lying, it seems they are taking it seriously. I have been honest the whole time and been denied multiple times. Honesty getting me nowhere, lol.

Just called once again, and once again got denied by rep Roxanne. Asked to speak to a supervisor. Charlie spoke to me, was polite, took my concern seriously, but at the end of it all, no matter what, there was no way I can be allowed to participate in this promo plan, and he reiterated that it was only for those who received the email.

Guess luck just ain't on my side this time, lol.

I just got off the phone with VZW asking about the promotion. They asked me how I'd heard about it and I told them that I'd received the promotional email. I was then told that I was not on their list as being eligible for this promotion and could I forward them the email that I'd received. Of course I couldn't forward them what I didn't have so I (very respectfully) reminded them about my length of service as a customer, and exactly how much my monthly bill is. I was then put on hold so that the associate could speak with the manager and a minute later, I was approved. dancedroid

True but i think if your well into your contract(lets say more than a year) they may think twice about what your saying if enough people respond the same way VZ would have a problem on there hands so i guess to keep some people happy they would fold for some.

What can I say, it just ain't happening for me today. I said the same thing, about always paying on time, longtime customer, and Supervisor Charlie still denied me.

Im odd man out in this game, lol.

You just have to keep trying be animate about you loyalty to VZW it took me 6 times to get it but i finally got it im not saying its easy but i went through several people Managers,Supervisors.....and a couple of really nice sales reps but its all in the luck of the draw or in this case the luck of the phone call. i was very luck to get this and i am greatful because i was paying $220 a month for two phones ...thats crazy ....i was so happy when i got this to work i now save $60 bucks a month .......wow im just so so lucky keep trying ....... dancedroid

Well I just have a single line, and just renewed with the Droid X in Sept., so they have no incentive to work with me. They got me locked in. I mean I couldn't have been nicer and the Supervisor was super nice to me back, so no reason such a pleasant conversation shouldn't have lead into me getting it.

I ended up getting the new plan for our 5 family plan phones, two don't have data, but that was added today. However, i don't see any mention of the plan details like others. I wonder if I should call or what for the two upgraded phones I'll get on Thursday.

Any word on how one qualifies for this promotion? i have been with verizon since the spring of 02...maybe that had something to do with it.

I received the email yesterday called today...got it no problem.

Had almost 1 yr left on my contract and as it was only a year deal (from the day of the extension) my contract was only ultimately extended by 3 days she said. it also did nothing to my upgrade next july.

The deal includes nights/weekends as some have asked throughout the thread. it also includes 5 friends and family options from other networks for unlimited minutes. (that was for an individual plan not sure how many are included for the family).
