New Unlimited Plan from Big Red?

I just called the number and told them about the promo and they said the same thing about my account not having been sent the email. In order for me to get the deal I would have to forward them the email (apparently they use some sort of encryption to authenticate who it was sent to)
When they receive the email from me, the rep. would call me back.
Sounds to me like they know that some people who got this deal aren't eligible and are finding a way to fight us sneaky people trying to get a better deal.
 
i don't think that is it i actually I'm on a payment arrangement with them and they still gave me the offer its just a matter of who you talk to and how you interact with them !

I couldn't of been anymore polite.

Yea dude. My g/f called and got denied as well. At least we're not alone. It's a bit suspect so many people in this thread got it so easy and we are getting so shafted.

Glad you got it, further proof, Verizon is playing around with its customers.
 
I didn't get the email and I called the number from the flyer posted on DF. I just said I wanted to talk to someone about the new unlimited plan. No questions were asked about emails or anything and the CSR was very helpful in explaining all my options.
 
Hey she said I can have the 5 friends and family thing but verizons website says I can't do it. What do I do?!
 
I don't believe they care if they tick people off ,... after all they are BIG! I'm guessing that they have some computor generated probabilty calculation on everybodys acount on the probabilty of you switching or being able to switch wireless companies.
 
I got the deal first try did not have to get contract extended the deal is good forever as long as you don't change plans of course you are free to renew contract and upgrade phone when its time

Might be how long you been with them not able to upgrade till 2012 but I have been with them for 4 years with 4 phones and they switched us all over

Ditto here. I've got two phones one year into a two year contract. Currently paying $243 total for unlimited everything. They did not charge me a termination fee on the first contract. I hate doing math in public, so won't know exactly how much I'll save under the new plan, but I'm guessing I can buy two or three cases of beer a month with the savings.

I was able to get it and have only been with them for 10 months. Have been a couple days late on maybe 2 payments during that time.

Really seems that its just which CS rep that you talk to.
 
Just thought i'd add my experience to the mix...

Saw the deal on df, called right away. Talked to a nice lady and brought up to her how i heard of this good deal online. She told me the details of it and explained though it was only available to people who got the promo. She gave me ideas on how to reduce my current plan and save some money but i said i was still interested in the 70$ unlimited plan and she said "ok, we'll look you up in the system to see if you qualify." Shortly after she told me i do not qualify. I asked what the qualifications were and she couldn't really tell me. After i asked if this plan would ever be open to the public and compared it to sprints unlimited plan, she somewhat took a turn and said that she would talk to her supervisor and see what they can do. And some how amazingly they were able to squeeze me into the deal(2 lines btw) And it was all smooth sailing from there. Some people mentioned a region only deal, well i'm out in the middle of the pacific.

Lol, I've been with them for at least 8 years. Probability that I will leave is 0. But I got the updated plan.

As I have stated before, eventually everyone will get it. It also appears that if your persistant they will give it to you.
