New Unlimited Plan from Big Red?

Just called *611... I have a 2 droids on the 700 minute family share plan...for this promotion you have to have the 1400 minute plan...in my case I upped my minutes to 1400 with unlimited text and data for $9.99/month saving me only about $15 but thats $15 with double the minutes...and sorry minus my 20% Ford discount...so true this is not BS...i will say I wouldnt take no for an answer you do have to be a little pushy or at least sound confident that you know more than the person on the phone with you! Just called to ask about it and the idiot on the other end "You already get the 20% discount for being a state employee." I said that that wasn't what I was asking, I wanted to know about the $20/month/line discount... "Yes ma'am you already have the 20% discount." ARGH!!!! Hoping to call back and get someone who understands the words that are coming out of my mouth!!!

Well i called in last night and was told there's no promotion for my area. They did say if upgraded one of the other lines i wold save some money. Also, what state are you from that getting this?

Just called multiple reps. The first said it was available but I would have to switch each line to 450 minutes and in the end I wouldn't save money. However, the second rep said if I upgraded the wife's Dare to a smart phone that I would get the line for free...Not to bad.

That plan is the one where they discount you the $9.99 for that line, for the life of that line. Not bad. Upping my son's phone this month. It's good till the 6th of Jan. (or something like that). It's on their site.

Its $9.99 for 24 months, not the life of the phone. That's the "smartphones talk free" plan. $240 saved over 24 months with EACH smartphone added to your plan!!

Yeah the thread hookbill linked is the exact same deal. I called and got it with absolutely no problems. Seems to be a luck and negotiations based thing. I called, laughed it up with the guy on the other end and he gave me the hookup.

Just got to call, be patient and if I were you... don't give up.

As far as I know, wherever the Talk&Text plans are available, the offer is too. Our system automatically reflects the $9.99 credit when a line is upgraded to a PDA. I'm 99.9% sure you have to be on a current plan though vs a legacy plan.

So is that a new end date on the contract? Did they add a year on to your current contract or were you already on a 2 year deal?

No. We upgraded to two DXs October '10. So it didn't affect the contract at all. I'm still eligible for an early upgrade June 2012.

This makes missing the BOGO X promo by a month and TEN DAYS a little bit easier to swallow...

shouldnt matter when you upgraded!

Keep Family Share Plan and this promotion

Has anyone tried to keep the Family Share plan with this promotion? I have talked to three reps and no one knows anything about it. They do say there is a promotion for individual lines that looks like this, but not on a familyshare plan.

Well, that might be why you haven't updated your phone but they don't know that.

Got the 139.00 daily plan here in alabama. I just called the the promo # hookbill posted and told them I received the email, which I didn't, and there were no problems. Thanks, I now am saving 25 dollars.

i've had the family share plan forever. nothing changed for me except $20/mo/line of every month. he said there was no time limit. someone mentioned 24 mo. i was told we would be grandfathered in if the do the tier plan or any other data package. forever he said
