I don't mean to incite a riot but....

Ordered on the 16th, received it on the 30th (drove to the local Fedex after work after driving home FROM work to get the ticket off the door) and I haven't been able to put it down since!

The grocery list app is fantastic and I've already downloaded a fart machine with a timer! LOL

The wait is typically 2 weeks it seems. Boy was it worth it. This isn't a phone, it's "toy central"!! dancedroid

Verizion shipped it to me 2 day standard instead of over night like everyone else?? They shipped the hdmi cable to me over night!!??
It's scheduled to at my house 9/8 by 7pm would have been nice to get it before this long weekend. Hope I can wait!!

Called Fedex 7 PM to expedite shipping to "Priority Overnight" (which has Saturday deliveries in my area) - No Love, Verizon has to do it
Called Verizon CS to see if they could help, go a really helpful rep that requested the change, she gave me 50/50 chance
I am supposed to receive a text by 11PM EDT with an updated probability, if it works I'll have to cover the cost delta ~$10

See this is what infuriates me ... people ordering their phones day's after i did and getting them before me.

I went to the store to on 8/24 to upgrade to my first smartphone and get rid of my three year old LG Env2. I scoured this thread trying to figure out when people were getting their phones. I called Customer Service and asked them and they said they didn't receive the tracking yet, they don't get it until fedex gets it but they gave me my Order Number and Location Code. I waited some more days. Browsed this site, watched youtube videos, reread the engadget review a few times. I called Customer Service today and the lady told me that they had nothing on record. There was nothing on her screen telling her that I would be receiving a phone. I was a little surprised and figured she was probably mistaken. Luckily, she was. I called the store I purchased the phone from and they told me the same thing I heard about the tracking blah blah when originally call a few days after making the purchase. She even said I could possibly just receive it today in the mail. Way to get my hopes up, right? I figured I had to try being even more patient. Then, finally, minutes ago, I checked the Order Status on Verizon's website for the 63rd time and got what I was waiting for.

I'll have to wait until the 8th to get it but at least I know that it is on its way. Who knows, maybe Froyo will be out by then.

Sorry for the rant. I'm trying so hard to be patient. I want my Droid!

Seems like they give a date 3-4 weeks out to CTA but most folks are getting their X's quite a bit earlier. Ordered mine on the 08/21 and recieved it on 9/01. And for those getting 2 day shipping, if you ordered it online and ordered on a weekend then you get 2 day shipping. Overnight is for ordering during business week.

Then, yesterday morning I see a Fedex truck pull up to my house and I'm like, "naw, it can't be...its probably the Bilsteins for my Tacoma (another forum, another life)".

Waiting for the X was the most killer thing ever. I did the same, reread all the reviews and pretty much sat there and stared. Phone was ordered 8/17 expected 8/31 got it 8/25. Can't really complain too much. They seem to be coming way before expected

I ordered in-store on 8/28, and so far I've received a big fat nothing! No email, no tracking #, nothing. I called CS yesterday, and was only told that it is guaranteed to ship BY 9/13, which is not helpful, since I'm going out of town for a week on 9/14. Really hoping it ships tomorrow or the next day...
